Raghav's pov

The next week had gone by so quick. It was pretty boring without work but Pallavi had spent all her time with me. To be honest I was not complaining. I enjoyed every minute of it. Spending time with her made me realise how much I need her in my life. She'd scold me when I didn't want to take my meds. But I did it deliberately just to annoy her, the way a little frown would appear on her face was so cute. During this week we had communicated like normal people, for once it felt like there was no marriage deal between us. Everything just seemed so normal. Pallavi had become my normal, and I'm not going to let anything get in the way of my normal.

"Are you excited to go back to work, you look so much better now." Amma said coming into their room.

"I am keen to go back, but I'll miss watching Netflix with Pallavi 24/7."

"awwhh, don't worry I won't watch the next episodes without you." Pallavi said cutely.

if it were up to me, we would have been doing more than just watching Netflix.

"Raghav, you better not eat anything that Rat will give you." Amma scolded. As I heard Pallavi burst out laughing only to control it by placing her hand on her mouth.

"Rat? Amma what's got into you?" I said trying to control my own laughter.

"What??? That was the nicest thing I could find to describe her." Amma said laughing with Pallavi

these two women really don't like Maya.

I followed Pallavi downstairs only to be startled.

"surprise buddy." Pallavi and I jumped when Jay popped up in front of us.

"Oh my god... you didn't tell me you were coming this early." Pallavi breathed out whilst clutching her chest.

since when did they talk yesterday.....

"Jay what the hell man, no need to scare us like that, and what does she mean, did y'all talk yesterday or something?" I said really curious.

"well I called you yesterday but you didn't answer, so I rang the beautiful lady and she told me that you got food poisoning so I had to come and visit you." He said.

"well, I'm completely fine now, I've been taken care of just right by my beautiful lady." I said looking at Pallavi.

"well you've gotten thin." Jay said.

"well, that's what happens when you live with your wife for a whole week and she puts you on a strict diet." I said and I couldn't help but notice the way his face dropped when I said 'wife'.

sucks to be him cause she is my wife.

Pallavi left to go to the kitchen , only to leave me and a really happy Jay alone.

"What are you so happy about?'' I said curiously.

"Your wife.'' he said as I tensed. every muscle in my body stiffened.

"Wh-what do you mean?" I said only to see him rolling his eyes playfully and smiled.

" oh, well yesterday, I asked her if she's willing to go on a date with me and she said... yes." He said and I could feel the rage take over every nerve in my body. I closed my eyes for a second and opened them instantly.

"Great" was all I said as I made my way to the living area. I could hear Pallavi's voice as I got nearer to the kitchen. That voice is the voice I'd look forward to the most to hear every morning but right now it was the last thing I wanted to hear.
