"Pallu, hurry up and get ready, Raghav will be here any minute" Pallavi heard her Aai scream.

She rolled over on her bed groaning into her pillow.

Today is the day that Raghav and Pallavi are going shopping to select their reception outfits. Due to his mum's request they decided to wear westernised fits instead.

" ughhhh!!! I don't want to do this, I don't want to marry him." Pallavi said as she dragged herself out of her bed.

She freshened up and looked at what she was going to wear for the day. She was about to wear a saree when she remembered Raghav telling her that she always wears sarees. So she reached for a black dress and wore that instead. She didn't know why his words affected her so much but it did.

She wore the dress and went and did her hair and makeup. Pallavi is a simple girl, she doesn't put in the effort to look good. Well she is naturally beautiful. But for some reason she decided to put in the extra effort and curl the ends of her hair and put on a soft glam makeup look. Happy with the way she looked, she walked downstairs.

She looked at the time and saw that he's not here yet.
" oh thank god, I hope Mr. Ghamandi Rao has forgotten" she said.

Just then she heard the doorbell ring. "It's your husband, go get it." She heard her father say.

"He's not my husband yet." She flatly responded as she opened the door. Just as she did the cold breeze hit her face. The smell of expensive cologne lingered with it. Despite not loving Raghav, she did love his scent. There stood Raghav, wearing black jeans and a black shirt. He looked very casual. But for Pallavi he still looked attractive maybe even more.

"Hellooo Saree Ka-" he stopped midway when he took in her presence. He was shocked.
"Uhhh why aren't you wearing a saree?" He questioned.
"Is there a problem?" She asked

"No, no at all, it's just you always wear one."

" well I wanted to change it up a bit." She replied.

He nodded " she looks so good" he muttered quietly.

But she heard, and a small blush crept on her cheek.

"Shall we go?" He asked

She nodded and walked towards the car.

He ran in front of her, opening the passenger door for her.
"Thank you" she mumbled as he ran to the drivers side.

"Why the hell did I just do that. I don't do that for anyone ever!" He thought to himself.

He drove off. He then realised something.

R: "Pallavi can I ask you something?"
P: "hmm"
R: " what happened to you last night during dinner?"
P: "what do you mean? I don't know what you're talking about"
R: "I saw it, your whole vibe changed suddenly. Is it because of me? If it is I'm sorry."

"He's only known me for like 3 days and he noticed my change of mood." She thought to herself.

P: " it's nothing Raghav, you don't need to worry about it."
R: " clearly something is bothering you, you can tell me"
P: " it's My ex husband's death anniversary tomorrow"

She whispered out.
Raghav didn't know what to say.
R: " I'm so sorry to hear that, it must be hard for you, since you loved him and all"

Sighing she responded back; " I never loved him. I didn't get the chance too. My brother was the one who set this marriage up. And once again I agreed for my family's sake. I fell in love with the thought of having a family once I saw Mandaar's family. I never loved him. But when he passed away on the night of our wedding. I took it on me to accept his family as mine. Aai and Baba lost their son. Ever since then I've tried to do everything I can to keep them happy. More than me, they're the ones who are going to be sad tomorrow. I'm hoping our wedding preparations keep them busy."
