Pallavi's pov

I couldn't think straight whilst I sat in the car and the driver drove me to Raghav's office. I was so confused about the way he acted in the morning. We were completely fine last night, what happened that made him act like that. He even forgot his lunchbox, I can't risk him eating something from that rat again. I don't ever want to see him in the condition again. The past week had been so good for Raghav and I. We started to get closer and everything felt normal. Sure we'd have our petty arguments but it would always end up resolving. He had become my new normal.

maybe I did something to piss him. I'll be sure to ask him once I reach his office.

When I reached the office, I saw Maya at the reception.

"good afternoon Maya." I said to grab her attention.

She just looked up at me rolled her eyes.

what a bitch

"I've brought Raghav's lunch for him, is he busy or can I go in?" I said

She thought for a second and a subtle smirk formed on her lips; "okay, you can go in he's not busy at all."

I nodded and I made my way to his office with a smile on my face.

When I entered I saw he was in the middle of a presentation

"so this is how we will- Pallavi?" Raghav said when he saw me and the rest of his clients turned to face me too.

I groaned mentally knowing I had interrupted something important all thanks to Maya.

"what are you doing her?" He asked a bit rudely, indicating to me that he was still in a pretty foul mood.

so I must've done something. Great now I've got to find a way to deal with this Ghamandi Rao

"I uh... I brought you your lunch. you forgot it I-in the morning." I said nervously as he tensed up.

"um I'm so sorry but could you all please excuse me" he said to his clients and walked over to me rather quickly before grabbing my arm tightly and dragging me out of his cabin.

"oh my god Pallavi, why did you come in like that?! Maya why the hell did you not stop her!" His loud voice clearly stated that he was not happy with what I've done. The look on his face scared me.

"I did Mr. Rao but she didn't listen to me" Maya said and I looked at her in disbelief

wow the audacity this girl has

Before I could say anything else Raghav spoke even louder than before.

"do you have any idea how greatly you have embarrassed me in front of all my clients just because of this shitty lunch box of yours?!" He yelled at me and I flinched.

shitty?  I'm an embarrassment to him....now that actually hurt.

he kept on yelling not even caring about the whole staff watching this drama unfold. I didn't know how to react. At this stage my eyes were glossier than ever, it took everything in me not to let my tears fall down my face.

"you know what Pallavi? just take this stupid lunch box of yours and go home. I don't want any lunch nor do I want see your face." He said so harshly and turned around.

there was no point of saying anything. it's not like he was going to listen. I mean, he said it himself, he doesn't want to see my face. I turned around and walked to the elevator. I kept my head down as I didn't want the people to see the tears that were streaming down my face at this point.
