                                 DENVER.

I didn't sleep.

I couldn't sleep at all as I kept thinking back to that man that broke into my house. I don't even know how he passed through my security. He must be experienced and he seemed a bit old. If I were to guess, I'd say he is around forty but what would he want from me? What's even creepier is I didn't know there was anything like that plastic bag in the cupboard. Wait, what if he lived here before selling the house to my father? Or what if he's the one that set up the house for me? I want to call my father for answers but I feel like if I tell him I met someone that knows apparently a lot about what my father might be hiding from me, then he might kill this guy without him giving me any info. As much as I hate to admit it, I want to know what this anonymous man has to say. I can't wait to get letters from him however dangerous that sounds. I hope he tells me who he is soon or I'll have to find out myself in any way possible.

It's eight am now and I'm going straight to the hospital to see Sia as soon as I'm done showering. I go the bathroom, brush my teeth hurriedly and shower within less than five minutes just to go see her. I miss her. I don't even take breakfast so I just buy a coffee along the way to the hospital. I don't even pass via the reception, I just go straight to room 24B where Sia was transferred to from the emergency room. I knock softly and hope she isn't still asleep because it's just nine in the morning. I knock again and open the door the tiniest bit, peeping in only to see her still sleeping as I thought. I enter slowly and sit in the chair I sat in yesterday when I was here to see her. I stare at her sleeping form in awe because even in her sleep she's so cute and looks even more peaceful. I smile softly before pushing her hair out of her face gently and she stirs in her sleep. I think I woke her up because her eyes flutter open slowly adjusting to the light around her before getting startled when she sees me.

"Shit you scared me. I thought...." She sighs and I feel guilty for scaring her.   "I'm sorry I scared you and you're safe. I got you." All she does is smile a little and I feel like I just conquered the universe by making her smile.    "Thanks. Wait, aren't you supposed to be at school?" She asks as she settles against the pillows well.   "I don't wanna go today. I want to stay here, right next to you." I declare.     "I appreciate that but I'm in a hospital. Nothing can happen to me." She tells me but I won't have it.     "Nope sweetcheeks, haven't you heard of people that are killed or attacked within hospital premises?" She shakes her head no while frowning.     "It happens but I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just not in the mood for school," I conclude making myself comfortable by putting my arms behind my head on the back of my chair causing me to stretch my stomach. I immediately clench my jaw in pain from stretching the wound almost open and Sia gives me a concerned look.

"Den, are you okay?" She asks and I nod.     "Um yeah I'm fine. Just a wound I got from rugby practice a few days back. Don't mind it, I'm good." I say so she doesn't keep asking. I feel bad for cutting her off. I know she's being genuinely caring but I can't handle lying to her more than I already have. She nods slowly understanding that I don't want to talk about it.

"Anyway have you called your parents?" I ask her both out of curiosity and care for her. I remember the other man's words from last night. What did he mean? I have to check the plastic bag and know its real contents. I quickly ward off those thoughts and pay my undivided attention to Sierra.

"Yeah I called them but they couldn't make it. They're busy," She says while looking away in pain.    "I'm sorry you have to go through this without your parents but again, I'm here for you always. Okay?" She nods.   "I know, and thank you for always being here for me whatever the situation." She smiles at me while holding my hand and brushing my knuckles tenderly and I smile back pushing her hair out of her face for her. I cannot help but think back to what the mysterious guy said to me about Sia. What could he know about her? Her background? The same background she hasn't ever told me about? I have to keep around her or she may get attacked again. Also, I have to check that plastic bag because I'm really curious about what it holds. The fact that some stranger came looking for it meant something and I remember he said it has power to destroy both gangs I'm not sure how. Sierra waves a hand infront of my face and I realise I spaced out on the conversation.
