Two months later...

It's 4th of Julyyyy.....

Fireworks! But most importantly, no school for me. My friends and I are going to the football field tonight for the fireworks show they're putting on. Apparently the school does that every year and anyone can attend, even outsiders. I'm so excited to see how it all goes and I'm glad I'll be with my friends that have grown to become my second family since I don't have any here.

These past two months have been overwhelming with all the firsts I've had at almost everything. Even Dylan speaks to me freely now. Speaking of...

"Hey cutie," I hear Dylan's beautiful voice say from behind me and I turn with a grin to give him a big hug as we laugh when we almost fall down. "Hey Dyl," I greet making him scrunch his face up like he usually does when I call him that.

"You give the worst nicknames, woman." Dylan says to me and I wave him off with a laugh.

"So I've heard."

"Hey guysss," Alicia joins in our conversation and I smile as she approaches. We, the three girls in the group have gotten impossibly closer now even though I still haven't told them about my family background. I keep telling myself it's for their own safety but I know it's for my safety although you can't blame me for wanting to keep myself from dying young if that Washington guy ever comes to know me. The girls tell me everything about themselves though, which doesn't help my guilt but I have nothing to do about it. Brittney comes from Texas, even her extended family stays there and her plus her family visit them over the holidays. Alicia is a rich daddy's girl after her mother ran away from them when she was eleven. Sad, I know. Her father stays in Beverly Hills California, very influential lawyer. Alicia must have taken on his confidence and outspokenness because this girl doesn't fear anyone. I also got to know the boys a bit more like where they stay while attending school and they're the most genuinely caring people. I'm so grateful to have met them. They are all like the family I never had, Aman is a darling too.

"Hey you," I greet while hugging her before she moves to hug Dylan too. "Hey handsome," She greets with the flirtatious smile she gives every guy. It's funny how the guys except the ones in our group always fall for it yet she's always actually playing around. "What's up?" Dylan replies.

"I can't wait for the fireworks tonight. Apparently there will also be a bonfire and marshmallow roasting. Oh how I envy the couples right now," She fakes a growl and I laugh while Dylan chuckles. "Grab a man. I'm sure it can't be hard for you," I say and wink at her. I'm being honest. Alicia can get any guy any day any time she wants. Her hourglass body, gorgeous eyes and blonde hair can do her much justice. Plus she is smart and witty so there can't be any problem.

"Naa these guys are all jerks. None is worth my time," She says and I tsk.

"Uh-huh. Is it because of the one night stand that left you on the roadside last month early in the morning?" I laugh at the memory and she scowls.

"That stupid fool. I can't believe I let him get away with it. Everytime I see him, I feel like cutting off his balls or something." She looks away and I'm still laughing. I'll never get over that day. It was the day we had finished our exams and we all decided to go and have some fun just to celebrate. Alicia is one for the one night stands so she didn't take long to grab a hunk. He was admittedly handsome so we let her go off happily with her catch and whatever happened after, I dont know. She called me at six in the morning fuming and told me to pick her up from a street even she didn't know. After I picked her up, I took her to my house to shower and I even gave her a change of clothes. She was angry the whole day when we came to school. A day to remember indeed, might as well tell the story to my future kids.
