SIERRA.
"What is on this CD?"
I ask myself as I walk back upstairs to my room after collecting myself when I made Denver leave. I think I was a bit too rude but what's done is done. I bet he doesn't even want to hear my name right now. I was so dumb and I pushed him away. Yes he lied but he also asked for forgiveness and even confessed everything. I sigh as I open my bedroom door and close it behind me. I begin by checking the white piece of paper inside the plastic bag and there is a handwriting I've never seen before. It reads;
To the one and only daughter/princess of the Sevilles. Anonymous.
That's me.
I grab my MacBook and switch it on then push in the CD and wait for whatever is on to start playing because the curiosity is killing me. The screen starts off black and I wonder what is happening. I look closer when I see someone pass infront of the camera that the person recording might be trying to hide because the video keeps disappearing and showing a shirt pocket. I keep on watching as I wait for a clear video and the camera shows two men in a dark room. Dark rooms don't usually hold good things so I'm ready to be hit with the worst.
"Honey?" I hear... mom's voice? That gets my attention and I move my head impossibly closer to the screen to see well. Mom's face comes into vision and I see her standing in the middle of the room. Judging by the fact that mom looks a bit younger, I know that is around four or five years ago. What is she doing in that weird room and I'm guessing dad is there too since she addressed someone as honey. She calls only dad and I that. Dad comes into my line of vision too and I'm not that shocked but the question still stands. What are they doing in such a room?
"Sit." Another voice commands, a deep voice that I've never heard before although it does sound a little familiar. "Oh greetigs to you sir." Dad says timidly turning around towards what might be the door the person came through. "I see you came with your wife. Cute." The deep scary voice says in a patronising way. Mom tries to hide away and the deep voice chuckles. "Sweetheart I'm not here to take you away from your husband unless you give me a reason to." He winks and continues, talking to my mom and this time dad hides her behind him. What are they doing talking to such a man that sounds all but dangerous? "We are sorry sir." Dad says trying to hide his anger and I furrow my eyebrows. Dad never fears anyone so this is new. Who's this guy? As if he heard me, the weird guy speaks again.
"I'm Willy Xavier. How can I help you?" "Sir, I'm looking for a job." Dad announces and the Willy guy laughs condescendingly. "Aren't you aware this is a dangerous place? You could lose your entire family by just working for me, that's how dangerous we are." He says arrogantly.
"Come on dad, get out of there. You could get a job else where." I exclaim as though he can hear me.
"Why would you even want a job from me anyway?" He continues to ask even before dad replies. Dad sighs. "I need to earn enough for my family's well-being." I do remember back when I was around thirteen, we weren't as rich as we are now. "The same family I just told you would end up killed?" Willy taunts while laughing and dad seems like he's trying to refrain from punching the asshole's face. "Are you really letting your husband do this to you and your kid or kids?" Willy asks turning to my mother and she flinches causing him to smirk like the demon that he is. He has red rimmed eyes like that of a drunkard, fat nose, a cylindrical head and big lips, that's him. "Yes,"
"Yes who?" Willy snarls. "Yes sir," My mom replies hiding further away from the evil man. I think dad gets fed up of Willy's bullshit because in the next minute, he's standing up from the chair and punching Willy square in the nose. "My wife is not your sex toy that has to call you sir or anything. You're not the boss of her," Dad fumes as mom visibly trembles trying to calm dad down. This is horrible to watch. Willy's two men from earlier come forward to attack dad for punching their boss but Willy stops them all the while smiling hard at dad. "I like you....anger issues, no nonsense man," He chuckles. "I think I'll keep you." He says condescendingly to dad.
