Three months later...
Things had flown quickly.
Way too quickly.
Jungkook soon realized that Jimin was a really successful person, but he could never have guessed just how powerful he was. He had contacts everywhere, in a way Jungkook even wondered if there was some kind of company or institution, either a private or a public one, that didn't even have at least heard about CEO Park Jimin.
With that in mind, what would take months for a standard person living in Seoul to accomplish, it took Jimin only two freaking weeks.
He anonymously sued the guys that framed Jungkook and practically hunted them down, exposing them publicly so that no one would ever get scammed by them. He wasn't able to recover Jungkook's belongings, but he managed to get an indemnity (as Jimin called it) from them, large enough for Jungkook to buy himself the things he had been stolen and even more than that.
He managed to get Jungkook a very affordable apartment not too far from central Seocho, and until he got it, he even took Jungkook in. The younger one stayed at Jimin's apartment a couple more weeks until his wounds were completely healed and started to feel healthy enough to have his life back on track to start working.
Jungkook could never be too grateful to Jimin.
He offered to pay Jimin back everything he owed him, though the older one always mentioned that it wasn't necessary. Being a good employee was enough for him...
So Jungkook did it so.
He started working at Jimin's company and he adapted really fast. Overall, people at the office were very welcoming, kind and patient with him. He quickly got the hang of the company's policy and soon enough he had become one of the most efficient employees there. Some people even called him the golden rookie, since he was such a fast learner and he did everything right and well done practically on the first try. It was still early to tell, but Jungkook might come far if he kept working the way he did.
Jimin couldn't just believe his luck. Not only he felt proud of himself for having made the right choice in the beginning by helping the poor guy on the side of the road, that he also got another great member for the team.
Between his busy life at the office, either drowned in paperwork or in constant meetings, and his business trips to Japan, China and some countries in Southeast Asia, Jimin always tried to find time to join his company's meetings at night for dinner and for a drink.
Jungkook has never missed one of those since it was also the best way to quickly get in touch with his colleagues and to get to know them better.
On other days, he managed to go for dinner with Jimin at the usual place, a pretty standard Korean barbeque restaurant not far away by foot from the building they work in. They have gotten pretty close to each other after the whole situation that happened in the beginning and after living together for a couple of weeks, always while being very discrete when doing it so, so that specific rumors didn't get spread inside the company.
That night, in particular, seemed like another night of one of those dinners with just the two of them.
It was getting pretty late and Jungkook was the only one left on his desk, on a cold Thursday night... Besides Jimin, of course.
He organized his desk and cleaned it up. He made sure everything was properly on its place and the computer was turned off, before walking through the rows of other working desks towards Jimin's office.
Jungkook had had this idea in mind for a while, but he had never had the opportunity (or maybe the audacity) to invite Jimin to do it so until now.
