Chapter 22: Forever

Two and a half months later...

Jimin had just woken up, but he didn't feel like moving out of the bed just yet.

It was the weekend and he had just had one of the most restful nights of sleep he had had in a good amount of days.

Jungkook, who apparently was already awake, noticed how Jimin shifted in the bed and came closer.

He leaned forward to give the Omega a soft kiss on his cheek, making him smile right after.

"How are my babies today?," he asked, burying his nose in the crook of Jimin's neck, making the other one giggle.

"We're good," he said, "I slept so well."

He had been able to sleep the entire night without any discomfort and he really didn't feel like moving out of the bed just now, even though Jungkook had other plans.

"I'm going to prepare us something to eat before Jin hyung arrives, alright?," and the Omega nodded, as they finally stood up and prepared to start their day.

Jimin decided to go take a shower while Jungkook stood up and went to the kitchen.

On his way there, the Alpha took a deep breath as he felt so much at peace... Waking up next to the person he loved, expecting a pup, having his arm barely looking like he had had a scar there before...

Of course, there were still a lot of stressful things going on, but a couple of months back he was losing sleep thinking about everything and especially the pregnancy...

He still remembered the conversation they had as if it had been yesterday... Probably one of the toughest ones he had had in his whole life...

After that fatidic company dinner, they couldn't just wait any longer until making a decision about having or not the pup.

They sat down and re-evaluated every single option, every pros and cons, every consequence they could remember and think of, and how could they do things thoroughly regardless of the choice...

There was a moment of silence when they finally had evaluated everything.

"I want to keep the pup," Jimin concluded.

No stuttering, no second-doubting... There was definitely certainty in the tone of his voice.

Even so, Jungkook stared back at him, anxiously.

"Minie, are you sure?"

Jimin nodded right away.

"I am, Kook, I've been thinking about it nonstop and the more I think about it, the more it hurts imagining not starting a family with you..."

"You don't have to do it for me, you know that... I will be with you through everything..."

"No, it's not only because of you, I also want this... This might be insane, I know, it's a risk, I know, but I am willing to take it..."

Jungkook just moved forward fast, catching Jimin by surprise as he quickly held Jimin's face in between his hands and glued their lips together.

They got involved in a passionate kiss, getting the reassurance they both needed at a time like that.

When they pulled away, Jungkook looked back at Jimin, straight in his eyes, still caressing his face to make sure the Omega was doing the same.

"We will get through everything together, as we have always had."

Jimin stared back for a few seconds... He gave him a grin, though he was also worried, so Jungkook added:

"I know you're scared, I am too, but together I know we will make it..."
