Jimin didn't say anything... He didn't move or even breathed as the doctor's words finished resonating inside his mind.

"A car ran into him when he was leaving the company's building in your car... It hit him on the driver's side... We don't know any details or the state of the other driver, but we assume it was simply a hit and run..."

Jimin's grip on the phone tightened up, feeling the fury flowing inside of him as he thought about the coward, maybe some drunk asshole, who did that.

"How serious was it?...," Jimin's question escaped from his gritted teeth.

It felt odd the way Seokjin was talking about what had happened without straightforwardly explaining Jungkook's current state. For someone who was always so direct, Jimin's despair was peaking fast from his lack of an answer.

"He's...," he could hear Seokjin taking a breath from the other side of the call, "he has fallen into a coma."

His heart dropped.

"He has a head injury, a broken arm and leg, plus a few ribs... The airbags avoided it to be even worse..."

Jimin wasn't listening attentively anymore until the doctor noticed the unsettling silence from his side.

"Jimin?," Seokjin tried to continue, with a calm and comprehensive voice, "I cannot imagine how you are feeling right now, but you are pregnant, you have to take-"

Jimin slowly drove the phone away from his ear, staring at it after, as Seokjin kept talking about whatever, totally imperceptible with the phone at that distance.

His finger lingered over the red button before finally pressing it to end the call, leaving Jimin staring at the phone statically as the screen went black.

He could see his reflection on the small screen for the first few seconds before his vision started getting blurry as tears began pooling in his eyes...

There was an aching knot in his throat and an even more painful tightness in his chest... It was difficult to breathe, even harder than it had been in the last couple of hours.

He still had no reaction as the stubborn tears began falling from his eyes, down his cheeks, onto his hands and phone... And that was the moment he just broke down and crying.

He needed to cry his soul out... He needed to wash that pain away with the tears and the wailing, he needed something that could give him some comfort.

He needed Jungkook by his side.

Jimin completely had lost track of time from that point forward. He couldn't stop crying, feeling an ache that he had never felt before like he was almost physically in pain, as if his whole body was in pain... Which could only be intensified by their bond.

He was so worried about what could happen to himself since he was an Omega, always so worried about bonding because of how much pain it could make Jungkook go through... That he had barely forgotten he could go through the same himself.

For someone who would always come up with a plan for everything, he suddenly felt completely disoriented without Jungkook.

Jimin's own body moved on its own when he quickly stood up from the couch.

He wasn't consciously aware of what he was doing when he dragged his feet along the wooden floor of his living room, towards the bedroom.

Strangely, despite tears keeping falling from his eyes, he had stopped crying. He still had the tight knot in his chest the moment he stepped into the bathroom, and he felt exhausted when he started scavenging from some of Jungkook's clothes that sat inside the laundry basket, waiting to go into the washing machine.
