That evening, Jimin made the call as Jungkook finished his tea.

Though on the first try, he couldn't reach the doctor on the phone. He was also fully aware that it was the worst time to call him too, but he was so worried about Jungkook that he couldn't stop himself.

Even so, he decided not to insist anymore and try again later.

After resting for a bit, Jungkook managed to take a shower without getting water on his left arm, changed into some clean clothes, the top part being a hoodie to cover his arms, took some painkillers Jimin got him and finally crashed on the couch not long after.

After checking if Jungkook was comfortable, and as exhausted as Jimin felt too, he still took care of a few other things first.

He did the dishes and then changed the blood and cum stained bedsheets.

He kept an eye on Jungkook in between tasks. The painkillers were certainly kicking in, which allowed him to fall asleep despite the pain.

That would give Jimin enough time to try calling Seokjin again.

While he was taking care of everything, he kept playing in his head how he would put things, how could he ask for help without incriminating Jungkook somehow... Putting things black on white and seen from the outside, Jungkook lost control and almost claimed him... But that wasn't really the truth, from his point of view.

It was not Jungkook's fault and he didn't do anything wrong.

When he finished everything, he finally managed to make the call again.

"Jimin, are you alright?," it was the first thing Jimin heard from the other side of the line the moment Seokjin picked up.

He could hear beeping sounds, people talking loud and children crying in the background, which could only indicate that Seokjin was at the hospital ER as Jimin had predicted and he felt bad for calling him at a stressful time like that.

"Hyung... I am, but we have a problem..."

The tone of urgency in Seokjin's voice could only indicate two things: either he was really busy right now because of work, or he knew that a call from Jimin at that hour was strange enough for it being a synonym of problems.

"What happened? Was it, you know...," he started, trying not to make reference to the heat out loud.

"It, hum... It happened and I'm alright, but Jungkook..."

"What do you mean?"

There was some confusion in Seokjin's voice and it showed. Jimin was the one who had the heat, which by norm was an agonizing episode. Alphas' ruts were not supposed to be as painful, but they weren't a pleasant phenomenon either.

"Jungkook bit himself, in his left forearm," Jimin paused, feeling a knot in his throat as he tried to explain, "it looks really bad, I don't understand anything of it, but I think he might have to be stitched, I even gave him some painkillers, maybe I shouldn't have but he-"

"Jimin, hold on, breathe," the doctor interrupted, and Jimin could tell how he was walking somewhere else, probably to a quieter place.

The background noise suddenly disappeared, indicated that Seokjin had probably made it to his office or, at least, to an empty room.

"I don't understand, why did he do it, I thought he was going to help you through the heat."

Jimin put his thoughts together before he continued.

"He did, hyung, I felt so much better after, but we got, ugh... Too excited and Jungkook tried to... Well..."
