"WHAT?!"

Jungkook stood up from the couch in one go as he groaned that, making Jimin take a step back instinctively.

Jungkook stopped right away as soon as he noticed that. He noticed how Jimin looked at him with wide eyes of fear, the same expression he had when Jungkook found him in the bathroom with two Alphas trying to have their way with him.

He scared him.

It was the first time they talked directly to each other since last Thursday night in the car and without Jimin having the heat... And Jungkook simply didn't expect their conversation to begin in such manner.

"I'm sorry," Jungkook said.

Jimin pulled himself back together as soon as he noticed that Jungkook was calm.

He straightened his back and took a deep breath. It was in vain though, since he felt his anxiety rising the more he thought about what he was about to say.

"Please, Jungkook, listen to me," he begged, "you don't have to do anything different from your usual life! You don't have to tell anybody else, not even to your family! And not only will you keep your job, but you will also earn so much more, so it's good for you, right?"

"I get it, but-"

"And you can still have girlfriends and fuck whoever you want, I don't give a shit, it's all just for legal and bureaucratic purposes!"

"Jimin, calm down," he asked, "are you aware of what you're asking me? Are you sure you're sane now?"

"Jungkook, I don't feel like I have much of a choice!," Jimin exclaimed, "I'll have to stay away for some time, and those guys will just take over the company in the blink of an eye... Everyone at the company must know that I'm an Omega, there's no way I'll be able to keep running the company the same way as before..."

"Jimin..."

"And the meeting!," he ignored, as his mind kept running, "there's the meeting this week, the one in Tokyo... I can't leave the country like this... I can't even leave my own house!"

"Listen, Jimin-"

"I know," Jungkook tried to call into Jimin's reasoning by calmly trying to talk to him, but Jimin didn't look like in position for doing it so right now as he continued on rambling, "I know it's... Out of the blue... But I think it's the only way to save the company... If we're married, every right I own will automatically be yours too and you can run it for me!"

"Are you sure about this?," Jungkook insisted.

"Shit, Jungkook, what other option do I have, huh?! Tell me!," he snapped, "you stupid, selfish Alphas don't get anything, the World would be better without scums like you!"

Jungkook stood still, hurt evident in his eyes as he stared at Jimin.

Jimin, on the other hand, suddenly calmed himself down as he instantly regretted what he had just said.

"Oh my god... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to say that... I didn't..."

Jungkook bit his bottom lip and looked down.

That really hurt him, and Jimin knew it... He knew he was being completely ungrateful. Jungkook literally shoved the other guys away from him, took him home immediately and didn't lay a single finger on him, despite his body telling him the exact opposite... He helped Jimin through one of the most vulnerable moments in his life.

In other words: Jungkook was an Alpha and he might have just saved his life.

"I'm sorry... Jungkook... I'm a mess...," Jimin said, feeling weak on his legs as he sat down on the floor, with the white bedsheet still wrapped around him, covering himself, "I'm sorry..."
