It was nerve-wracking.
Jungkook couldn't help but think about different possible scenarios.
Sure, it was plausible that Jimin was fine, but he could simply not be answering the phone for some reason... But not in this case. Not when he was so worried about getting everything at the company right. Not when he himself asked Jungkook to call him once he has arrived in South Korea.
Maybe he had just fallen asleep... But his phone was ringing, so it didn't run out of battery, and Jimin was next to it the entire day... Even if he had fallen asleep, he would still be able to hear the phone... Right?
What if Jimin was having another heat? And if so, should Jungkook even go there? What if it was really bad and he could end up hurting him?
But what if he fainted and needed assistance? Could he even bring him to the hospital? It would be dangerous to Jimin, since he wanted to protect his identity...
Without expecting anything new, Jungkook tried calling Jimin one more time as the taxi approached the Seocho district.
He tensed up immediately when he heard the call finally being answered:
"Kookieeee!"
Jungkook couldn't say anything at first, as he heard Jimin goofily laughing on the other side of the call.
"W-What?"
"Kookie is such a cute nickname! So, so cute, it's very hubby like!"
"What the-! Jimin, I've been trying to call you! What's wrong with you?!," and Jimin joked further.
"Nothing, it's great!," he signed hard before he started laughing again, "Diminie is so relaxed right now!"
Jungkook realized that it didn't look like he was having a heat, but more like he was drunk.
The call ended abruptly.
Jungkook leaned back, rubbing his hands on his eyes tiredly. It was useless to call him back.
Jungkook knew that Jimin was a grown-up but he surely has been through a tough week, both physically and emotionally... And he knew that Jimin enjoyed wine, but he also knew his limits... He has never gotten drunk, at least to Jungkook's knowledge... Why would he do such a thing?
He felt like he shouldn't go there with Jimin in such a state... He felt like he had nothing to do with it, but on the other hand, he couldn't stop thinking about him.
Jungkook said nothing to the taxi driver, making him follow the previous instructions he has been given, bringing Jungkook to Jimin's home.
Once they got there, he paid the man and made his way into the building, to the elevator, accompanied by his luggage from the trip.
He usually tried to predict every possible outcome beforehand when he felt anxious about anything, but this time he just couldn't.
He stepped out from the elevator, entered the passcode to open the apartment's door and slowly walked in.
The first thing he noticed was Jimin's scent in the air. It smelled like him everywhere in the house, a sweet, delicate Omega's scent that he has never noticed before Jimin had had that heat crisis.
Even if the scent was strongly present in the house, it also indicated that Jimin was not having a heat.
The second thing he noticed was that the apartment was really quiet, though the lights were on so Jimin was definitely inside the apartment.
"Jimin?," he called, before noticing two white wine bottles on the small table in the living room, the second one almost empty.
Those bottles were just the visual confirmation of how much he has drunk and Jungkook just couldn't believe it.
