Chapter 23: As One

Jimin could still clearly remember Jungkook's reaction that day, confused, though intrigued.

The Omega simply chuckled at his reaction and dropped the subject letting Jungkook wonder about such words... He smiled, happier to see Jimin's gleeful self rather than thinking too deeply about what he had just said.

After they cleared things up, the rest of the day couldn't have been more perfect.

They didn't do anything special at all, but they both vowed to not touch on anything related to work for the rest of the day. Things might haven't changed much in the real world, but the couple has managed to find some peace in each other and inside the comfort of their home.

They spent their day doing house chores, cooking and just cuddling on the couch during the evening, watching some random drama that was on the television as Jungkook got cured of the hangover.

Despite continuing working together with Jungkook, Jimin's days spent at home were way less exhausting. As for Jungkook, he would end up falling asleep sooner or later, most of the time with his head resting on Jimin's shoulder or lap, snuggling into him as the Omega would keep caressing his hair... Jungkook would always sleep so innocently, clingingly hugging Jimin like his safe haven.

When they weren't working, most of their daily life conversations would surround their pup.

According to common knowledge, Alphas were supposed to get overprotective over a pregnant Omega... Maybe even intimidating to other people to assert dominance and make their Omega remain submissive.

Jungkook, on the other hand, had become the complete opposite. If he was already very gentle before, he had become the epitome of softness whenever anything was related to their pup.

For instance, he would always greet both Jimin and the pup with a kiss on the Omega's lips and on his belly, respectively, every morning after waking up and every night before going to bed.

Furthermore, another example would have to do with how Jimin was slowly starting to get the habit of rubbing his belly, even when caught up in his own thoughts. Despite his baby bump having still more to grow, Jungkook has been mocking him every once in a while... Placing his hands over the other one's tummy, hopeful to feel anything, even though they both knew Jimin was still weeks away from that to happen... Yet, it didn't stop the younger one from talking to the belly and caress it in every opportunity he had... He would also try some sort of telepathy with their pup during those sessions, but whatever it was, Jimin could swear Jungkook's eyes would sparkle as he did it so and his heart would skip a beat at the gesture.

That was just a small portion of the collection of Jungkook's spontaneous reactions that Jimin has been finding adorable and he couldn't help it but to gleefully play along.

Another detail Jimin had noticed and which he had found interesting had to do with the pup's gender. It was still early to know, but Jungkook was convinced they were having a baby girl... Jimin noticed it when the younger one suddenly started referring to their pup as she in the most natural, convincing way... When confronted about it, Jungkook hadn't even realized about that subtle change in his speech... At that time, he explained how he just felt it by Jimin's scent and simply by some gut feeling... Jimin wasn't so sure about it, but the truth was that neither of them really cared about the pup's gender... Jimin was even ready if their pup turned out to be an Omega like himself...

As each day passed by, Jimin was more certain about how he had made the right choice. Twisted society aside, they had the ideal conditions to have a pup and raise him or her accordingly. Jungkook has been radiant about it and also super supportive. The more he thought about it, the more his heart would swell with love and anticipation, thinking about starting a family with Jungkook...
