Chapter 17: Storm

One month later...

Jimin had just finished dressing himself up, showered himself in expensive cologne, styled his hair up, a daily routine that he had gotten so used to, but that he hadn't done in what it seemed like ages.

That day, it could have been a typical morning ritual to prepare to go to work for the young CEO, however, there was an important addition to it...

Jungkook was standing right next to him.

He was right there doing his normal morning routine, alongside Jimin.

Jimin would always do everything by himself, all alone in such a large apartment... It was lonely, sometimes even scary, especially when he was living kind of a double-life as an Omega in Beta's clothing.

A life he felt he had been forced to choose in the society they lived in...

A life that he was about to go back to, after such a long time.

Despite doing everything normally, Jungkook could feel his nervousness, almost palpable in the air.

"It's going to be fine," Jungkook assured, stepping out from the shower with a towel around his waist.

Jimin was just finishing tying up his tie as he took a look at the younger one as soon as he heard those words.

"I know, I know," Jimin said, "but it seems like a century has passed since the last time I went to work... The last time I left this house, even..."

"It's going to be all the same, as you remember," the other one assured, "your scent is gone, I can guarantee it, so you don't have to worry about anything... Just do your thing."

Thanks to Seokjin's treatment, it took Jimin only a month to get rid of his Omega scent completely.

It wasn't easy for the young Alpha to cope with it though, since he was so used and addicted to Jimin's sweet scent... The days went by and the strength of his scent would decrease almost exponentially, making Jungkook grumpy and sometimes a bit feisty every time he tried to kiss him just to take a sniff of him deeply after.

That didn't come unnoticed to Jimin, as he would let Jungkook kiss his neck and smell him thoroughly, enjoying the last traits of his Omega scent that so rapidly was fading away. A couple of times Jimin has also found Jungkook asking him not to wash his clothes, at least, not just yet, so that he could get a hold of a couple of pieces to smell them the moments he missed the scent. A behavior very Omega-like, Jimin commented with him once, but Jungkook couldn't care less.

Jimin's scent being gone didn't change Jungkook's feelings towards the Omega at all, but it was one more aspect he loved about him and he was going to miss it dearly nonetheless... Jimin couldn't oppose to it. He would put himself in Jungkook's shoes and feel the pain by himself. He remembered the number of times he was in agony and Jungkook's scent made him calm himself down, how it made him go through the pain more at ease, making him feel comfortable and safe.

On top of it, Jungkook never blamed or condemned the Omega for doing it, he knew it was something that had to be done... Not only Jimin would be able to get back to his normal life, but Jungkook would also be part of it, this time, not as an employee and friend, but as a company owner and his boyfriend.

So, Jungkook made sure the scent was completely gone before he confirmed to Jimin it was alright to get back to work... He knew it was for the best.

Jimin was about to head to the kitchen when Jungkook was finishing getting ready, only having the white shirt and tie to put on.

He couldn't help it but always notice every time Jungkook exposed his arms, seeing the ugly scar that he had left on him...

The Omega kept blaming himself for it, even though his own teeth had nowhere been near it when the accident happened.
