Everything went by surprisingly smooth... Maybe smoother than Jimin could have ever imagined it would go.
Jungkook didn't make anything hard at all, he just did what he was supposed to, without even questioning anything about something. He was completely trusting Jimin.
Jungkook went home that night and came back the next day to Jimin's apartment at the agreed time, fully prepared with his suit and case as for a normal day at work.
The lady Jimin contacted before was already there with everything ready. Jimin didn't mess around when it came to business after all, but sometimes Jungkook would forget how much of an important person Jimin was to have so many contacts in every field in most parts of Asia.
A good thing was that Jimin and the lady were more of acquaintances than they were friends, so very little questions about who Jungkook was, how did they meet or why they were they doing that so fast were made. She probably assumed that union was more of compatibility of interests rather than of anything else just by the look of it: no rings, no physical contact, not even eye contact, just signing the papers and getting it done. Even so, she wouldn't dare to stick her nose into Jimin's personal life under these or any circumstances.
Jimin was really good at wearing a mask according to his will. Next to other people, no one could slightly guess what had happened the day before by how normal Jimin was behaving.
But Jungkook has been with him a lot and he has seen him in ways that other people haven't seen. He was able to notice how Jimin's hand slightly trembled right before he picked the pen to sign his name on the papers, the quick lip biting and the way he swallowed nervously... But he made it look so natural that the lady didn't even bat an eye at any of it.
Jungkook couldn't really judge him. Putting himself in the Omega's shoes, truly putting things black and white, he was signing papers to be legally related to a male Alpha when he had been assaulted by two other just the day before.
It would feel like signing a death sentence instead.
Jungkook sighed at the thought.
When it was his turn, Jungkook just signed the papers without even bothering to read them. Jungkook was the one who could be signing his own death sentence, and he didn't even bother in taking a look at it. He was completely trusting him and the older male noticed it too.
After the lady left, they didn't even mention anything about it.
Jungkook was about to head off to the company, when Jimin just had the urge to call out to him:
"Jungkook."
The young Alpha looked behind at him.
There was some tension in the air, both of their anxiety about what was about to be said was almost palpable.
There were a lot of things lingering in between them that Jimin couldn't really put a finger on what those were... Or maybe he knew what those things were, but he chose to retain them to himself, at least for now.
"Thank you," Jimin just took a bow and thanked him, but Jungkook let him at ease almost awkwardly. For every purpose, Jimin was still his boss somehow and Jungkook was fine with things staying that way.
Jungkook finally left not long after, off to the company and Jimin couldn't do anything more than waiting for the news at home.
It was a burden. Being slowly consumed by the jitters alone at home without being able to do much. Not that he didn't trust Jungkook, at this point what else could he do, but it was too much happening at the same time in such short notice.
