Dominic checked his bank account and noticed someone had paid back their loan. A lot of the time, he had timely customers. He liked that.
He didn't feel like going to work today though so he decided he'd do something else.
He parked a few feet away then walked into the alley and around the corner.
As he waited, he smoked a cigarette while standing against the wall of the restaurant he was behind.
He sniffed and wiped his nose with his finger before hearing footsteps coming his way.
"You Dom?" asked the guy.
"Yea. You Trevor?"
"Yea."
"Then hurry up."
"Woah, relax, man. I got you."Dominic flicked the rest of his cigarette onto the ground and stepped on it.
"Powder products, pill products, grass products. What're we feelin'?" Trevor asked.
Dominic just took a deep breath and leaned back against the wall. He didn't know what he wanted. He just didn't want to feel anything."Look, LSD, opioids, the wife Mary Jane, molly, coke...come on, man. You like heroin?"
"Nah, I don't do that injection shit. Just uhh...molly."
"Got you." Trevor went into his jacket and started fumbling around. He took out a small bag of pills.
"Hey..." Dominic stated.
"Yea?"
"Gimme the powder too."
"Coke? I like you. You know how to party." Trevor laughed.None of this felt like a party to Dominic.
Trevor pulled out another small bag.
"How much?"
"Bout..." Trevor examined the products. "180." he shrugged.
Dominic just stared at him.
"Come on, man. That's fair. Look how much is in these."
It was more than he usually got from his other dealers with only ten dollars extra.
Dominic rolled his eyes as he went through a wad of cash."I can tell you not new to this but...you don't look like an addict." Trevor pointed out.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Dom asked as he counted his bills.
"You uhh...you pretty. No weird shit. Like...most of my clients scratching at the neck with teeth missing but you...your hair is done, your skin is smooth, you got all your teeth...and you're in a fuckin' suit."
"I take care of myself otherwise. For those other people this is all they have. I'm not like them." Dom explained and gave Trevor the cash. Trevor gave him his drugs.
"How'd you get hooked on this anyway? You look like life is going well for you, Mr. Suit." Trevor asked.
"...""Got involved with the wrong person." he answered then walked off to his car.

"Congratulations, Mackey!" Morgan stated.
"Thank you." Mack smiled.
"See? There was nothing to worry about. You're always stressing over nothing."
"Whatever. I'm still surprised I even got it."
"Why? You have the credentials and good job history. There's no reason you wouldn't get it."
"Yea, I guess.""So uhh...how's mom doing?" Mack asked.
"She's fine. Has a bit of a cold but other than that she's okay. Asks about you all the time."
"That's good. I'll try to visit soon." Mack promised.
"She'd love that. She's gotten better at signing. It isn't just pointing at things and saying one word. She can do a lot of full sentences." said Morgan.
"That's amazing."
"Yea. But I need to go run some errands, so I'll call you back later, okay?"
"Thank you for reminding me because so do I. But okay. Talk to you later." Mack agreed.
"Bye."They hung up.
Mack quickly threw on a jacket and baseball cap before leaving to go shopping.

"What?" Dominic asked.
He sat on his couch and Michael sat across from him, slouching.
"Uggghhhhh!" Michael groaned for the fifth time.
"WHAAAATTT?!" Dominic finally snapped."You don't have shit in this house, man." Michael stated.
"Watch your mouth. Your parents ain't ever teach you not to curse?"
"Yea, they also taught me how to inject heroin into my forearm whenever my adhd gets a little too much to handle. They ain't exactly role models, Dom."
Dominic rolled his eyes. "So what do you want from me?"
"I don't know. Few snacks maybe."
"What're you, five?" Dominic insulted.
"Alright, let's put this into perspective." Michael said and sat up. "If you don't keep snacks here for the teen that runs in and out of your place, he's gonna look for other ways to get food. I.e. stealing, eating from trash cans, or asking you for more money. In reality you're actually saving money by doin' this.""How the fuck do you know what 'perspective' and 'i.e.' mean?" Dom asked.
"Heard you say it on a business call." Michael shrugged. "Put two and two together you make four. Common sense. Duh."
"Shut up, asshole. Let's go." Dominic said and stood up.
"Go where?" Michael asked.
"Don't be an idiot. You want food, don't you?" He grabbed his keys before opening the door and Michael jogged after him.____________________________________
Damn it. Mack thought. That was the third thing Mack really wanted that this store didn't have.
He walked down the aisle towards the end to go to the next.
Soon he banged into someone else's cart.
"Oh, I-I'm sorry-..." he stated.
In front of him stood Mr. Miller and a kid. He couldn't tell if the kid was 10 or 18.
"Hi..." Mack said nervously.
"Hello." Dominic replied.
His eyes trailed to Michael."Is this an awkward one night stand situation again?" Michael asked Dominic.
Mack was stunned.
Dominic elbowed Michael in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.
"Um, No..." Mack answered.
"Oh..." Michael replied as he tried to catch his breath again.
"Is this your son?" Mack asked.Dominic and Michael looked at each other and then back at Mack.
"How old do you think I am?!" They asked in sync.
"Sorry..." Mack stated.
"Think of it more as...an adopted little brother." Michael insisted.
"Oh..."
"Adopted pain in my ass." Dom corrected.
Michael rolled his eyes and began walking into the aisle. "He loves me, he just likes to lie to himself."
It made Mack snicker. While Mack spoke to Michael, Dominic examined him.
He wore a jacket but there was a tight compression shirt he wore underneath it, thanks to which Dominic could see Mack's very toned abdomen and firm chest. A part of him wished he could see the biceps too.Mack examined Dominic for a second as well. He wasn't wearing the jacket to his suit like before. It was a dress shirt with the top button undone, black pants and belt, and black dress shoes. He liked how perfectly tailored Dominic's clothes were to his body.
"Uh...I guess I should um...l-let you get back to your shopping. I'm sorry again..."
"It's fine, Watts."
Mack nodded and readjusted his cart to get around Dominic's."9:30 tomorrow." Dominic reminded.
"Y-Yea..." Mack replied and walked off.Dominic snickered to himself at Mack's timidity.
He looked in the aisle and saw Michael was coming back with a bottle in his hand.
"Put that shit the fuck back, minor!"
"Aww..." Michael replied.
