"So, you live in US?" I asked

Savvier visits me in my room. Wala naman daw kasi siyang kasama sa room niya dahil yung mommy niya umalis. Nakikipagkwentuhan lang siya sa akin habang ako ay nag-iimpake na ng mga gamit ko dahil ngayong araw na ako uuwi. Iniintay kona lang sila mommy na dumiting. 

"Yeah. Since I was a kid we live in US." he simply said while looking around of my room. 

"Then what's the reason of coming back here?" I was really curious about him. As his friend now, I want to know him more. 

"My lolo wants us to come back here so my mom will manage their family business. We have no choice dahil kay mommy niya ipinamana lahat ng meron siya before he passed away." he said while trying to explain everything. He sit on the sofa that beside me. 

When I finish packing, I sit beside him and just hold my phone. I waited my mom's message. I get him juice para naman may mainom siya habang nagkukwentuhan kami. 

"It's your time. Tell me about yourself." he said while smiling at me. 

I shake my head while laughing. Sharing my story is not comfortable for me. Masyadong mabigat para sa akin na i-kwento kung gaano ako nangungulila sa isang ama. Basta hindi ko kayang magkwento dahil mas lalo lang akong nalulungkot kapag naiisip na lumaki ako sa pamilyang hindi palagi nagkakasama. 

"You're unfair! Nagkwento ako sa'yo tapos ikaw ayaw mo? Unfair." nakasimangot na sabi nito sa akin. 

I smile at him and take a deep breath. Hindi naman masama kung sabihin ko sa kanya yung iba pero hindi lahat. Hindi ako ganoon kabilis mag open-up sa isang tao. 

"Okay, I'll tell mine." excited naman itong tumingin and he's ready to listen. "I have a mom, dad and a brother." I stop and shrugged. "That's it. You know some of me already." I said while laughing. 

His mood suddenly changed. Tumawa lang ako nang tumawa habang nakikita ang tingin niya sa akin. Mukhang nainis siya sa ginawa ko. 

"Are you serious?" he irritated said. 

"I'm sorry." Trying to hold back my laugh but I can't stop laughing whenever I see his disappointed face. 

"I'm serious Elowen, tell more." he said. Gumaan naman ang mukha niya at halatang natatawa na rin sa ginawa ko.

"Well... I don't know how to start but I like studying... I'm always doing my best so my dad will be proud of me. Ayokong nadi-disappoint ko siya because I know, my dad has big expectation to me and 'yun lang yung kaya kong isukli to all his sacrifices for us. I'm a daddy's girl and I really love to bond with my dad when I was a kid but now I can't do that because he's in abroad..." I don't to talk deeper about my dad so I changed the topic. "I like to eat sweet foods so sometimes my kuya baked me cookies and chocolate cake." I smile at him. 

"You're really close with your brother." I smile, that's really true. Nag-aaway lang kami pero siya ang pinaka close kong tao bukod kay Zheil. Actually, my kuya was kind to me pero hindi naman talaga maiiwasan na mag-away kami minsan. He's the one who always by my side if I need help. Siya na nga halos naging magulang ko simula bata dahil parehong busy sila mommy noon. Every time na magkakasakit ako, my kuya was there to take care of me, hindi siya nagsawang alagaan ako. I remember when I was five years old, my kuya really want to play with his friends but he chose not to play with and stay with me to watch me. Alam kong gustong-gusto niya maglaro pero mas pinili niya akong bantayan at doon ko narealize na he's the best kuya.
