I woke up the next morning with my head pounding and a set of arms wrapped around my nude torso. I looked over to see William, also naked.

I picked my phone up off of the night stand. It was ten a.m. I was late to work. This is the third time this school year that I've been extremely late to work or completely missed it without calling to let them know. I'm gonna get fired.

I had a missed call and a voice-mail from my school. I decided to listen to the voice-mail.

"-Ms. Jameson, this is your third time not showing up to class in the past two months. The school district has no choice but to terminate your employment, and we ask that you return your key card by the end of the week" My school's principal's voice stated. My heart sank and I felt like I was going to cry.

I took a deep breath and moved William's arm off of me, he began to stir around as I sat up. I decided to put my clothes back on, I had to keep taking breaks, so I wouldn't break down into tears.

"Where are you going?" William asked, his voice raspy.

"I'm just getting dressed" I lied. I need to get out of here.

"Last night was great" he smirked.

"Yeah, it was" I lied again. The sex wasn't bad but it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was so-so. It was nothing like sex with Auston.

"You up to doing this again sometime?" He asked. I nodded. Why not? My life is falling apart anyway, might as well start hooking up with a hockey player I haven't even known for a full day.

"You wanna get food before I have to go to practice?" He asked.

"Can we do that another time? I just got fired from my teaching position because I woke up late and I have to go turn in my key card" I explained.

"Oh my gosh... I'm sorry. Yeah, we can do something another time. Can I get your number?" He asked. I nodded and handed him my phone and he handed me his. We put our numbers in each other's phones.

I got up and unlocked the door and walked out of the room.

"Where did you disappear off to last night?" Steph asked as I grabbed my keys off of the kitchen counter. She was sitting at the counter, drinking a cup of coffee in her pajamas.

"Uh..." I trailed as William walked up behind me. He wearing his clothes from last night.

"Oh god... Did you guys... you know?" She asked. I blushed and nodded.

"I'd love to talk more about it but I have to get to work" I told her.

"Alright! See you later!" She said as I walked towards the front door.

I got in my car and laid my head on the steering wheel, letting tears fall from my eyes. I sat there and sobbed for five minutes before pulling myself together and putting the car into drive so I could get to the school.

Once, I turned in the things I needed to, I went home and began the search for a new job. I don't have time to sit around and wait for a teaching job, I doubt there will be any positions this late into the year, plus, I'm barred from working for the district for six months, since I was fired.

As I was scrolling through positions on Indeed, my phone screen lit up and my phone vibrated. I looked at my notifications to see a text from Auston.
