A/N: Yeah so this is a human AU. My first time writing a human AU. There will be a part 2. I might do a few one-shots of a human AU with the other ships too, idk.

Keefe walked through the halls of Foxfire academy. He didn't have to look at anyone to guess what they were whispering as he walked past. Keefe had always been good at reading people's faces, and he could normally tell what they were feeling.

They're probably talking about that dumb rumor about me and Bangs boy, he thought, before making his way outside. Keefe waved to his friend Dex. Dex was really good at coding, hacking and all other sorts of technology. He was the president of the school's coding club.

"Hey Dex." Keefe said. "Hi! How are you?" "Not good. Everyone's talking about that rumor." Keefe looked at his feet. "About you and Tam?" Dex asked. Keefe nodded. "Who knew coming out would start rumors like that." He said quietly.

"Hey, you know that the people saying that are snobs, right? They'll gossip about anything, don't feel bad." Dex told him. "Yeah, okay." Keefe looked at the road. "Oh! I gotta go, my ubers here." Keefe's mum had left a few years ago, and his Dad didn't care enough to pick Keefe up.

It was too far to walk, so most days Keefe called a taxi to get home. He waved to Dex, and got inside the car. He pulled out his phone, only to see he had five new messages from Tam.

Tam/Bangs boy: Hey, did u hear?

Everyone's talking about that dumb rumor that we're dating

Idiots, the lot of them

🙄

Anyway, can I still come over today?

Keefe/Lord Hunky hair: Sure

Yeah, those douchebags need to get a life

Bangs boy: Dex said the rumors were bothering u

U good?

Keefe/ Lord Hunky Hair: Yeah, just a bit pissed

Keefe turned off his phone. He couldn't tell Tam the real reason he was annoyed at the rumors. Keefe liked Tam, and although Tam was gay, Keefe knew he didn't have a chance with the other boy. All the rumors do is rub it in my face that bangs boy doesn't like me, he thought.

The uber pulled up at his house. Keefe paid the driver, and walked up the driveway. His Dad was pretty rich, and Keefe's house was no shack. The house had been built recently, and was three stories high, with a beachfront view.

He walked up to drive, unlocked the door and went to the kitchen. Keefe let out a shriek when he saw a girl sitting at his table painting her nails. "Ro! What are you doing at home so early?" He asked the girl.

Ro was a 20 y/o college student who was studying bacteria and enzymes. Her dad was a mafia boss, and after a while, Ro had gotten sick of that lifestyle, and moved to the city Keefe lived in. Her Dad and Keefe's mum knew each other, and Ro had come to live with them, which had caused an interesting situation, considering his mum had already left at that stage.

For better or worse, Ro lived with Keefe and his dad now. She was just like Keefe's sister, always in his business. She cared about him though, and had beaten up people on his behalf, which had landed them both in trouble.

"I'm going to the gym today, remember?" She smirked at Keefe. "Why are you doing that here and not your room?" He asked, gesturing the bottle of nail polish. "Well, Tam is coming over, I didn't want to miss the drama that's bound to occur between you and your crush." Ro said.

Keefe sighed. "While I was at school, did anything happen?" He asked. Ro shook her head. "Your mum texted though." She held up her phone. Just before she had left, Keefe's mum had gotten caught up in some nasty business, Keefe didn't know the details, but something about a cult group she'd run off with.
