A/N: 648 reads. 34 votes. Holy shit. I am literally at a loss for words!!!!! Y'all don't know how much this means to me! This book is one of the good things in my life, so it's beyond awe-mazing that people are reading this!

Now enough of that. This story is about how much shit LGBTQIA+ elves face. And why Cassius should die a million horrible deaths. Without further ado, I give you... a shitty angst! With some lime. Also TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: abuse and domestic violence!

Keefe winced as a hand slapped him hard in the face. Today has been going so well... until his father work up  and saw Tam. Now, well... Keefe had bigger problems than his feelings. It had all started last night.

Tam had stayed the night at his boyfriend's house, without Cassius knowing. Keefe had foolishly thought it would be fine. The two boys had done some ✨stuff✨ before they had both fallen asleep in Keefe's bed, snuggled against each other.

Keefe had a good sleep, not having any nightmares. And then he woke up to one.

"What is this." Cassius said, his tone jolting both boys awake. Keefe rubbed his eyes, then froze in fear. He already knew his father was a homophonic, but now Tam might get hurt. Tam sat ip, unaware of the danger Keefe was in.

"I always knew you were a failure, but this... This is unacceptable. What is wrong with you?!" Cassius screeched.

"What's happening?" Tam whispered. "Nothing. Go home." Keefe whispered back. "But-" "Now," Keefe said. Tam stood up. Cassius continued.

"Get the fuck out of my house you disgrace!" He yelled. "Y'know what, you suck. Keefe so awesome, and if you can't see that you're the disgrace." Tam said, he turned toward Keefe, who looked away. "Go home Tam." Keefe whispered, his voice breaking.

Tam slowly walked out of the room, unsure of what to do. He heard yelling as he leapt away, guilt plaguing his mind.

Keefe sat up fully and got out of bed. His felt his father's hand come down against me again, before Cassius finally snapped and dealt final blow. "You are no son of mine." He spat."Leave before I make you."

Keefe grabbed Mrs Stinkbottom, his art books and a few other things. He ran up stairs to the leap master, leaving the shit-stain that wa said father below, scowling as his son left. "Finally." The ass-wipe muttered as he heard the leap master start up.

Tam paced around his room. How could he have left Keefe with that monster? He felt sick, He pulled out his imparter to call his boyfriend. The ringing seemed to last forever, but e call wasn't picked up. This was bad.

Tam bolted from the room. "Tiergan!" He yelled. "Tiergan!"

"I'm here, what's the prob- what happened?" Tiergan exclaimed, seeing Tam's tear-stained face. "Where's your spyball? I need it use it." Tiergan furrowed his eyebrows. "I can't- that illegal-" "Screw the law! Someone I love might be in danger!" Tam yelled.

Tiergan, taken aback, ran to fetch the spyball. Tam aced the living room until he came back holding it. "Show me Keefe Sencen!" Tam yelled. The glass shifted, revealing a scene. Tam watched in horror as he saw Keefe being hit, then leaving.

Keefe looked so... broken. Tam couldn't do anything but watch. Keefe lightleaped away, to somewhere Tan had only seen once before. He felt sick. Tam ran out the door, leaving a horrified Tiergan staring at the spyball.

Keefe collapsed onto the floor. He wanted to hurl, or just curl up and die. He hadn't known where to go. He had caused Tam enough trouble, he wouldn't bother him. Keefe had leapt to one of Alvar'a hideouts, the one he'd used after he left the neverseen.

It was tiny, a shack by human standards, but it would have to work. Keefe curled up into a corner, hugging his stuffed guloon. He cried, numb to everything. He could return to the Shores of Solace, not after this.

He heard a weird noise outside, and ignored it. Alvar's hideout was in the middle of nowhere, what would it be? A bear or something? Keefe didn't care. Pain and numbness overwhelmed him, he just sat in the shack and cried.

Tam opened the door to the hideout. There was Keefe, huddled in a  corner. He didn't look up as Tam approached. Tam wanted to throw up as he saw the bruises on Keefe's face. He didn't say anything, but sat down beside the empath.

"I know what happened." Tam said quietly. "Why didn't you tell me that was happening?" Keefe said nothing, silent sobs wracking his body. Tam hugged the other boy. "Why didn't you come to my place?" He asked.

"I've caused enough trouble for you already." Keefe sobbed into Tam's chest."No, you haven't. That man is despicable ass-wipe who will pay." Keefe said nothing, having gone silent once more.

"It's gonna be okay." Tam whispered. "It's gonna be okay, Keefe." They stayed like that for a while.

"I'm taking you too see Elwin." Tam said. Keefe shook his head violently. "Don't! I can't tell anyone about this." Keefe said. "Okay. Come to my house" Tam stood up, offering the other boy a hand. Keefe accepted it. Tam helped Keefe gather his few things, then they leapt to Tiergan's.

When they arrived, Linh and Tiergan were sitting around a table, along with Oralie and Bronte. They were discussing something when Tam and Keefe arrived. Tam said nothing, he just helped Keefe upstairs. He would deal with the councillors later.

Keefe sat down on a  couch in Tam's room, Tam gave him a hug before going downstairs.

"What's going on?" He asked Linh. "Tiergan contacted us after he saw that footage isn't he spyball. We were, naturally, appalled. Cassius is scheduled for a tribunal in two days time." Bronte said.

Tam nodded. Thank god, that evil man would get what he deserved. Hopefully Exile.

Tam sent back upstairs. He told Keefe the news, the empath just nodded and didn't move.Keefe was not okay, not at all. He would go to Elwin, no matter how much Tam asked him. Eventually Tam gave up, instead writing down everything he knew about the incident down. Hopefully he had enough evidence to lock Cassius says for good.

Eventually, Keefe fell into a troubled sleep, mentally exhausted. Tam didn't move from his side.  The shade didn't know how hard the next few days would be, but he knew he would be there for Keefe.

A/N: idk how to finish this one.
