The other side of the bed was empty when you awoke. You hadn't expected Kylo Ren to linger, let alone fall asleep beside you, but you couldn't help grimacing as you reached over to the cold side of the bed. You spread your fingers over the sheets, trying to seek out the warmth that didn't exist. It was as if he had never been there at all.

Had he gotten any sleep? The events of the last day were hazy, heavy clouds of lust coloring the entire night and blurring your memories. Despite what he had said, you had managed to get a small amount of sleep. Or, at least, what felt like a small amount- you couldn't see a chronometer and had no idea how long you were actually out.

You sat up, not caring when the sheets fell away to expose your still naked chest. You were alone, and even if you hadn't been, it wasn't as if that was something he hadn't seen before. The light in the room was dim, and you could just make out the shapes of the meager furnishings in his room.

Slipping out of the bed, you padded over to the refresher, not bothering to pick up your clothes, scattered around the room as they were. You had a mission, and that didn't require you to get redressed.

The refresher, like the bed, was empty. For a moment, you almost felt disappointed. But then quickly decided that it was a blessing in disguise that you were alone. It's almost funny how before you'd hated the isolation that had been forced upon you, but after just one day of being constantly in Kylo Ren's presence you needed it. It was exhausting trying to keep up with him, mentally and physically. Your body was aching and your mind was admittedly running a bit slow, and the time alone would hopefully help you to recharge and recover.

This time away from him, with the added access to his amenities (which were practically luxurious in comparison to what you were used to), was the break from reality that you hadn't realized you craved.

Logically, you knew he would return soon. There was no way that he was going to trust you to be alone, unsupervised, in his rooms for long. Though why he would be concerned when he had expressed multiple times how harmless he thought you were didn't matter- it just mattered that it was a concern. You were finally starting to learn that questioning his motives, asking him why he did what he did, would only lead to frustration.

As you took care of your basic needs, the bathtub continuously caught your eye. It had been an awfully long time since you'd last been able to actually sit in hot water and just relax, and you had no way of knowing if the opportunity would ever arise again. You only gave it a moment's pause before you launched into action.

Fuck it.

Snatching the soaps from the shower (which looked decidedly different from your soap back on Starkiller), you dropped them by the tub and turned on the water.

Once you finally sank into the water, you let out a long sigh. It was like being enveloped in a warm hug, and just as you had imagined, all your stress and tension was soothed, forgotten in this wonderful embrace. You had no doubt that the moment you stepped out of the tub, they would come rushing back along with reality, but for now... for now you were relaxed, and you were going to do everything in your power to be so for as long as possible.

But you didn't forget that you were not on a vacation or even in a position in which true relaxation was feasible. No, but for now you pushed your constant inner monologue about your captivity to the back of your mind. Put it right next to your mental box of feelings about Kylo Ren, which was only becoming more crowded with every passing encounter with the man.

You gently started to wash your body, taking the time to actually massage and take stock of any marks on your skin. For how rough he could be, there were a surprisingly small number of bruises, whether they were from his mouth or his hands.
