Chapter 27

After the revelation from Miss Moon last night, Jin has this uneasy feeling in his heart. His feeling of wanting to protect her intensifies but the need to see her and hold her after days of not seeing her is what weighs more. He absolutely knows what he will do and he will tell her that once she returns.

Looking back at their history, she sees things in a different perspective that's why she tends to do things on her own. But thinking how she had battled her way to get the life that she has right now, it hurts his heart and he doesn't want her to be on her own anymore.

He's expecting to see her this afternoon so he calls his secretary.

"Miss Jun, ask Miss Moon's secretary what time is her arrival. I'll fetch her from the airport."

He sends a message to Miss Moon to ask her if she can look after Woojin tonight.

"Yes sir. I'll get back to you in a few minutes."

...

After a few beats, his secretary called back.

"Sir, her secretary said that Miss Minyoung will fetch her later and she'll go home to her house."

He is in the middle of cancelling his appointments for the day when he heard the bad news.

Not again..

"What?! She won't go home to our house?"

He accidentally raises his voice, making his secretary a bit intimidated. Just as when he is closer to settling their current issues, Minyoung is here again to intervene.

"No sir. It's per Miss Minyoung's instructions. She said Miss Moon needs to rest."

It's getting more ridiculous. He learned to be patient and control his temper but he is definitely being tested.

"Thank you."

He ended the call. He'll ask Mr. Park about this. First is his son, now it's Byul. It's their family, their relationship and nobody should be taking charge in making decisions except for them.

"Mr. Park"

By the tone of his voice, Seojoon knows he is not just annoyed.

"Mr. Kim"

They had already lost a huge amount of time. The more people involved, the harder it will be to manage the situation. So he gets to the point.

"I won't allow Miss Minyoung to meddle with our family anymore."

They both love Byul and the kid and what they all experienced was not easy. Clashing at some point is expected to happen. And now is the time to assert his role in their lives again. Fully.

"She's heading to your office now."

He's getting more frustrated thinking that the delays can cause misunderstandings again.

"Why does she have to get her way with things? I don't want to see her. I want to see my son! I want to see Byul!"

Whatever she will say to him, he won't back down. Never.

"Miss Moon allowed her to."

It suddenly stops him from getting his car keys and drive straight to the airport.

"Mom? I mean Aunt Ji did?"

That calms him down. If Ms. Moon agreed to it, then it does not mean something bad. Right?

"Yes. Just be sincere when she'll talk to you later."
