Chapter 12
He attempts to break the awkward atmosphere by telling her to rest.
"You've been out almost the entire day. You should sleep. I'll just wake you up if I think we're lost."
"It's only 9 pm Jin."
"But you'll look after our son through the night."
She became silent again.
In her mind..
Unnie would definitely kill me if she knew what I did. I got carried away. It's your fault Seokjin.
The moment I saw his body, I'm finished. I should be careful around this dangerously sexy yet reserved human being.
A few minutes later, she asked him to pull over. They have arrived at her house.
"We're here. Thanks for accompanying me."
She's now acting discreetly and it bothers him.
"So this is where you live."
"Uhuh. It's getting late. I think you should get going."
They had a good day and he doesn't want to end it with an unbearable silence.
"Do you think Woojin is still awake?"
He initiates a small talk making his heart beat fast with thoughts of possibly seeing his son today. He's hoping that he can.
"Maybe he's fast asleep. He's already a toddler. He's tired from playing all day."
His hopes went crashing down.
The gate automatically opens. He stops the car in front of the house's main door. He gets out of the car as she steps down and walks her down the path.
"I'll go inside. Take care, Jin. Goodnight."

He pulls her to him, kissing her lips once more. It's now or never. Her hands automatically went behind his neck. They shared a passionate kiss under the moonlight.
He pulls back, allowing them to breathe. He tilted her chin so now she's looking at his eyes.
"Can I go see him? I cannot let this night pass without seeing our son. Please, Byul, let me."
"Did you just bribe me with a kiss?"
She asks, biting her lower lip before breaking into a warm smile.
"Anyway, you may want to have some coffee."

Her house is warm. And obnoxiously clean. He knows how protective she is of their son but he doesn't know she'll be as hands on as this. He doesn't see anyone in the house, even helpers cannot be found. They are heading upstairs and his heart is beating erratically.
"Where are your househelpers?"
"They may be resting now."
"Who's with Woojin?"
"The night nurse is probably in our room."
They pass doors before stopping in front of the largest one which he assumes to be the master's bedroom.
