It took me so long to update this as my heart can't help but feel sad knowing that this is about to end.

Anyway, this chapter made me cry a lot :(

For me, this was the most special chapter, the one closes to my heart.

Thank you for staying with Jin and Byul in this story. For being with me as we watch them grow and be the great parent and individuals that they are.

There will be a paragraph which was in italicized form as it was in the past.

Chapter 28

Jin and his dad are on their way to a lunch meeting with a potential business partner when he receives a message from Byul.

My mom's going to set me up on a blind date. I only informed you so you won't be shocked when you receive a wedding invitation by the end of the year. She's too eager.

"What the fuck?"

This is the first time that he heard from her since she came back and this is what he’ll get. He cannot believe it. He is just giving her time to think things through but he has no plans of giving her up. Not now.

And why would she get married when she declined his proposal that night?

"What's wrong?"

Mr. Kim asks him, surprised by the profanity that just came out from his mouth.

That’s what I’m thinking about too, dad. What went wrong? Mom? I thought..

He has to take action now and reclaim his position not only in her life, but more importantly, in her heart.

Every second matters to him even more.

"Dad, we have to turn the car! Please! I need to leave now! I can't go with you!"

He is trying to maintain his calm but is miserably failing. If he needs to jump out from the vehicle and run his way to where Byul is, he would.

"What are you talking about? Calm down Jin. We're already here."

Appeasing the rising panic in his chest, Mr. Kim opens the door and drags him out.

"Byul is going on a blind date! I have to stop it!"

He screams hysterically, desperately showing the severity of his distress.

"Yah! Kim Seokjin! Are you out of your mind?! Stay still! You're not allowed to leave!"

Yongjoon cannot believe that his grown-up son is sulking in front of him just because the mother of his child is going on a date when he hasn’t asked her to be with him officially.

He already wanted to smack him when he told him how he jumped on asking her to get married when he was not even able to clarify their status and confirm their relationship.

When he heard the story from his son's mouth, he could do nothing but stare at him dumbly, which made him totally understood why Byul chose to flee.

But could he blame him? Scratch the usual order of things, they just need to be clear and firm on the direction they both wanted to take and commit to.

"But dad! I can't lose her! I'll work my ass off real hard! I'll be a slave to the company, just let me leave now!"

His dad is close to covering his mouth to stop him from blurting more of his absurdity. He is clearly ashamed of them.

Imagine the headlines tomorrow if there will be people seeing the two pillars of KIC acting foolishly, in the midst of a business deal.

"Lower down your voice! Someone might hear you throwing tantrums just because Byulie is on a blind date! You should date as well then! Do you even know where she is? You don't have your car!"
