Seokjin is currently having dinner with his dad at the old mansion.
"She did."
Mr. Kim is carefully observing him.
"How was it?"
He pauses, somehow showing a sign of dejection.
"I'm not sure, dad."
He is somehow worried for Jin.
"What do you mean?"
He waited for him to open up, and when he did, he's relieved.
"I'm not sure if we're in good terms or what. You know dad, I thought I'll be scared to find out that she hates me. But I don't know how she feels about me. I don't know if I should be bothered that she feels indifferent towards me. Like she doesnt care at all. She only sees me as the father of our son."
He feels sad to hear that from him.
"Do you expect more?"
"I expect her to blame me. I would willingly accept all the hurtful words she may throw at me, yet, I received nothing."
"It's a natural response after all."
"I know and it hurts."
"I'm sorry Jin-ah. I know it's my fault. If only I chose to be wise back then, you should be enjoying your life now with your family."
Regrets are looming over them once more.
"Dad, we cannot live in the past. It was done and couldn't be changed. I can only work hard to make things better for them."
"What else did you two talk about?"
He becomes cheery this time.
"About our son."
"Have you talked about your parenting setup? How is he? Did she tell you when we can see him?"
"She just told me that we need to be prepared. You know what happened in the party right?"
He stops eating to let his dad know what she wants from them.
"She asks me to not meddle on her affairs."
Mr. Kim contemplates then agrees.
"I think it's just right. You might ruin her plans if you do so. Focus on being a good dad to Woojin."
He has to look after him more than ever.
"You're right, dad. I just can't stand it knowing she's bearing the weight of the matter on her own. Being the best dad for Woojin can help her."
