I promised to update the story by the end of the month but I'm the most impatient for this book. Anyway, hope you'll like it.

Chapter 3

Ah. He now realized who he is. Park Seo-joon. A renowned corporate lawyer. Everybody wants to be his client. He's good. Maybe the best out there in his age. But the said bastard is picky. 

He has his own firm and the lawyers from his team are the ones negotiating with companies. Seeing him today, acting as the Moons' legal representative, and business consultant, means any of the following:

1) He's been paid a lot. And by a lot, maybe one fourth of the Moons' earnings goes to him. Tch. Leech.

2) MDCC has grown significantly and he sees an opportunity in it. It's possible that he has shares in the company since he's living abroad. Moreover, it is a clean business so it won't give him a hard time.

3) He may be very close or has a deep connection with or related to someone in MDCC. He hates to think that he even may be in a relationship with a person who is significant to the corporation.

He is thankful that his cognitive ability is way beyond average, making him understand and process the information he is saying in the midst of contemplating why he is working for the Moons.

"As you can see Mr. Kim, the partnership with your company still looks as promising as ever but my client wants to make sure that you're both in the same direction."

He speaks formally and professionally, giving off an air of authority.

He mindlessly nods and replies..

"You have to be particular with the direction you are talking about. If there will be a new manager, the changes must be communicated to us clearly so that we can assess if we can take the same direction with you."

"Hmmm. That's true. We'll be meeting again in the future and by that time, our agenda will be more concrete." He responds to his demand vaguely making him question his reputation but what he said after caught him off guard.

"She's right about you, Seokjin-ssi." He directly looks at his eyes, estimating him.

"Excuse me?"

Ring..

"I'm sorry. I have to take this call." He stands immediately, planning to move farther from him not before answering the call and letting him know who he is talking to.

"Byulie"

Why is he talking to her?

Byulie?

Only those who are close to her call her by that name.

Is she the 'she' he is referring to?

And why can he hear familiarity with the way he talks to her? Too familiar for his taste.
