On Veronica's lap was her drug dealer Morgan, knocked out while Veronica was left smoking a joint on the couch. She was a lady of course, so she didn't want to wake the sleeping girl up, but she was starting to lose her patience. She didn't come here to spend the night. Veronica came here because Morgan was her favorite drug dealer with all the types she needed and she would always get it for free if she showed Morgan a good time first. Reina told her once she was basically selling her body for drugs like a whore addict. Veronica argued it was more like a two for one deal. But right now she was empty handed, and her post orgasm bliss was fading and she needed to study and she needed Adderall to study through the night.
Veronica rubbed Morgan's arms in an attempt to wake her up under the pretense of being sweet. The ginger girl was so pale she could see purple green veins run under her skin. Her light lashes fluttered as she finally came to. Veronica looked down at her as Morgan gave her a sleepy smile. It was cute. She almost felt bad for using Morgan like this.
"Sorry Vee, you have to go soon right?"
Veronica nodded. "Killer test tomorrow, I'm gonna pull an all-nighter with my roommate."
Morgan sat up and stretched her arms over her head with a yawn. Veronica was rubbing her legs to get her circulation back.
"Reina right? You're always with her."
Veronica gave Morgan a lopsided smile. "I don't have a lot of friends, and I've known her since Pre-K. She's one of the few people I can tolerate for more than a couple of hours."
"I remember the first time I met her. I don't think she liked me much."
Veronica tried to remember their first interaction, but nothing came to mind. She shrugged. "She's not big on hard drugs, maybe that's why."
Reina drank and smoked weed and cigarettes all the time, but she drew the line anything else. Veronica on the other hand lived off of Adderall and coke to keep her up so she could work and keep her top scores, and then took other party drugs to let loose and celebrate afterwards.
Morgan was shuffling through her stash to set up Veronica's bag. She lifted her head up to raise an eyebrow in Veronica's direction. "She doesn't nag you to stop?"
Veronica laughed. "That's not how we work. I don't think we'd be friends for this long if we were the type to try and change each other." Both of them were their own brand of self-destructive and they accepted each other anyways when others would have been put off, that's why they worked.
Morgan finally came back with her assortment of drugs. Veronica examined each one of them to make sure the amounts were correct.
"It's a good thing Reina's straight and has a boyfriend, otherwise you guys probably would've banged by now. She'd be a real threat," Morgan said with a pout and a flutter of her lashes, playing at being coy. Veronica knows it's just her flirting, but it's so on the nose that she lets out a harsh laugh, willing herself to not act defensive.
"You don't need to feel threatened, you're my favorite." Veronica pecked Morgan on the lips and moved to leave. "Thanks for the goodie bag."
The cool night air helped unravel Veronica's nerves as she walked from Morgan's apartment to the library where was meeting up with Reina. She was irritated at herself for letting Morgan's offhanded comment get to her. She just wasn't used to someone calling out the relationship she had with Reina like that. Unfortunately, Morgan's an exception from her short-term fling rule, and they've been casual fuck buddies since freshmen year of college, so she's one of the few who's seen her and Reina interact. It was a miracle she didn't notice that Reina and Veronica actually did start banging.
