Third Person POV
Grace had been adamant for years about the kids thing. She didn't have maternal instincts, at least she didn't think so. There had been many nights of conversation with Chester about starting a family. It had seemed to Chester as though a family would never happen. But Grace told him one day that she wanted a baby, and about a year later, they had one.
Neither Grace nor Chester had any preference when it came to the gender of their baby, they were just happy to be starting a family. They would love the baby no matter what. But when the baby came and they were told it was a healthy little girl, everything seemed to click into place. Now, three weeks later, Grace is finally introducing her sweet baby girl to her viewers.
"The title is not a joke, I'm just putting that out there now." Grace starts, commenting on the fact she titled the video "I Birthed A Human...Oops" slightly jokingly. She stops a moment and let's her eyes drift to her baby girl's body in her arms. The little girl is beautiful; rosy cheeks, warm brown eyes, a small cropping of dark hair. She's absolute perfection in her mother's eyes.
"I did in fact, manage to birth a human without dying. What a miracle." Grace continues to joke, wanting to keep it lighthearted so she won't cry. Grace doesn't know if it's hormones or what, but her daughter's presence seems to make her emotional. "This is Elise Marie, born August twenty second. She's quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. Sorry Goose."
Elise makes a soft noise of content, taking one of her mother's fingers and playing with it. Grace looks down at her again, smiling at the look of happiness exuded from Elise's face. The simplest things please Elise and it's amazing for Grace to see. Grace leans down and kisses her baby's forehead.
"I love you, my little angel." Grace murmurs, feeling tears well up despite her promise to herself not to cry on camera. "God why did it take me so long to decide to have you?"
"You know I've been wondering the same thing," Chester remarks off camera. "You're a natural with children, my love."
"Only my own baby girl, Ches. All other kids, I'm not in my element." Grace insists.
Chester comes over and takes Elise gently. Grace smiles at seeing the two people she loves most together. She kisses Chester's cheek, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind and resting her head on his shoulder.
"I love you Chester," Grace murmurs.
"I love you too Gracie," Chester says back. Grace takes Elise's small hand in hers.
"Both mommy and daddy love you Elise. Don't ever forget that okay? You'll always be our little angel." Grace tells her daughter.
