Feel Better

Chester's POV
It's about 10 am, and Grace is still asleep in my arms. I look worriedly at her, noticing the dark circles under eyes from her habit of not sleeping sometimes. Last night I woke up to find her vomiting in the toilet. She called the doctor and he said she probably had a stomach bug. She's been stuffed up and coughing all week, and she's been overworking herself. I'm getting concerned.

"Hi." Grace whispers, her voice raspy.

"Morning baby. How do you feel?" I ask her.

"Not great, but better than last night." She answers, rubbing her eyes tiredly.

I kiss her forehead and slip out of the bed, going to the stove to start boiling some water. I pull out a tea bag and a mug, placing the bag in the cup.

"I'll make you some tea and then we can cuddle in bed." I tell her.

Grace just smiles, laying her head back down on the pillow. When I've (semi) successfully made the tea, I take her the steaming mug and climb back into bed with her. She wraps her hands around the mug, taking a small sip. I go to kiss her gently, but she pushes me back.

"I don't want to get you sick, Ches." She says, her eyes sad.

"I don't mind getting sick if it means I can kiss my beautiful girlfriend." I remind her, kissing her cheek.

She leans into me and I rest my arm against the small of her back. We watch reruns of Real Housewives all day, and Grace seems to be feeling better.

"How are you feeling now babe?" I ask her as we're getting ready to go to bed.

"A lot better." She answers. "Thank you for taking care of Chester. I love you."

"I love you too." I say softly.
