Chapter 14

Chris ran out of the main room and didn't stop until he reached Gus' Great Arcade. He looked inside the room for a hiding spot and found an empty hollow rocketship that was used as a prize corner. He quickly hopped in and dialed the local sheriff department. The sheriff, however, hung up the call once Chris mentioned the name 'Willy'. But not long after, an animatronic made its way into the room.

"Hello, little boy." The animatronic greeted in a friendly manner.

It was Cammy the Chameleon. She was surveying the room in search of one of the teenagers that was part of Liv's deputation. Chris peeked out from his hiding spot, only to be left ducking back down just in case the animatronic didn't spot him.

"You don't have to be afraid of me. I'm not like the others. They're so mean to me. They call me ugly and they make fun of my colorful skin." She said, trying to persuade her next victim.

"I'm trapped inside in this body. I just want to be free. I guess I don't expect you to believe me. I hoped that you were different." She said, still trying to manipulate her victim into coming out of hiding.

Chris was skeptical at first but then started to think. Was the person inside the animatronic really trapped? Chris, who was starting to fall into the trap, reluctantly peeked out of his hiding spot.

"I'm...Chris." He said, still with uncertainty in his voice while gazing up at the chameleon animatronic.

"Trust me, Chris. You know you can. You can feel my goodness." She told him with a tone filled with visible persuasion.

She could see that her plan was working.

"If what you're saying is true and you're not like the others, I could help you get to the next life." He replied, starting to believe her but still shaken up.

"It's true. Evil has kept here. You must have questions. I can tell you so much about the other side. I can answer all your questions, if you can help me." She was now face-to-face with Chris and all she had to do was whip her tongue out. Just then, Liv walked into the arcade room and what she saw was just moments before disaster.

"Oh Chris." She sighed in relief but was soon replaced by fear.

Between her and Chris was the animatronic chameleon facing the teenage boy. Cammy knew that LIv had walked into the room behind her and planned her attack.

"Liv, it's gonna be okay," He said, trying to calm LIv down but spoke too soon. "We're gonna make a deal and-"

Chris was cut off by Cammy whipping out her tongue around the teenage boy's neck. Liv couldn't believe what she was witnessing. Wasn't long before the chameleon put the teenage boy out of his misery by snapping his neck. Soon Chris' body had dropped dead while Cammy retraced her tongue back in her mouth.

"Wanna play, bitch?" She sneered as she turned around to face Liv.

Just then, Ryder and the pups came in. Ryder put up his fists in a fighting stance while the pups gave menacing looks. Then, Ryder's watch went off, notifying them it was time for a break. The pups looked at their leader in slight confusion as Ryder reached into his pocket and pulled out the box knife from earlier and placed it in Liv's hand.

"It's your time to shine." He said before walking out of the room, leaving the pups in disbelief.

"Well eff you too, dude!" Zuma said.

"Pups, come on." Ryder said sternly.

"And leave her with this human eating killing machine?" Fumed Marshall.

"Pups, I said-"

"But she won't make it out alive!" Protested Zuma.

"I think you better listen to your leader. So I'd suggest you move it." The animatronic smirked.

The pups scowled at the animatronic chameleon.

"We'll be back in a minute so don't go anywhewe." Zuma replied before the pups left the room.

And just like that, the fight was on. Liv was able to get a few punches in here and there but soon the animatronic chameleon got the upper hand. Liv was backed up against the rocket ship and Cammy was about to attack but then felt something wrapped around her neck. She was tossed to the side by some of a rope that was held by Ryder. After being smashed in the face into some arcade machines, the animatronic chameleon fell to the floor. Ryder and the pups glanced at the animatronic chameleon and then at Liv.

"Clean yourself up." Ryder told her as he threw a handkerchief at her.

After some time, Ryder, Liv, and the pups made their way down the hall towards the main area while carrying an animatronic chameleon who was being asphyxiated by some rope around her neck. The group made a right and what they saw next gave them another dose of adrenaline. Tito the Turtle and Siren Sara were blocking their path.

"Chase. Skye. You know what to do." Ryder told them confidently.

Chase and Skye headed for the two animatronics head on. Chase went for the animatronic turtle's grional area. The animatronic turtle tumbled backwards while groaning in pain. Skye went for the fairy animatronic's stomach and the fairy toppled over backwards. Soon the path was cleared. The group then made their way to the main area and walked towards the front door and was busted open by Ryder. But before they could step one foot outside, they were stopped by a cock of a shotgun, which was followed by a familiar voice.

"Drop the lizard!"
