Ryder and the pups got in the vehicle, not knowing what was gonna happen next. Ryder got in the passenger seat with Chase on his lap while the other pups rode in the back. As the tow truck made it's way to the repair shop, the man driving the tow truck wanted to know more about Ryder.

"Ain't you a little too young to be out driving through here?" The man spoke up.

"Well mister, I wouldn't say too young, I was out here driving to see an old friend of mine." Ryder told the man.

"You mean we were driving out here to see an old friend of yours." Chase corrected him. The man was shocked to the pup in Ryder's lap speak.

"Did that dog just talk?" The man asked again.

"Actually, sir, I'm a puppy." Chase corrected him.

"...Yeah, let's not worry about him." Ryder said, eyeing his pup.

"Say, aren't you that boy that has a team of rescue dogs?"

"Why, yes, we are. You a fan?" Ryder asked in a happy manner.

"Meh. Your team has many fans here in Nevada. There's even some fans here in Hayesville. Well... there used to be." His voice trailed off as they went passed a sign that said that Hayesville was 8 miles away. Chase got suspicious about that last part.

"What do you mean by 'there used to be'?" The German Shepherd asked in suspicion. The man tried to change the subject but couldn't say anything. Instead, he shrugged his shoulders, trying to avoid the question.

Chase wasn't buying his response one bit. Instead of pressuring the man, he decided to drop the question to avoid any consequences. Up the road, they paid a visit to the local police department. Ryder and the pups were questioning on why they stopped. Two women were standing by the road. One was a sheriff and one was a teenage girl. The sheriff spoke up.

"Hey, Jed, what's up?" The sheriff asked.

"This little boy and his pups had the misfortune of finding your zigzags out there. I'd figure I'd bring them back to you." He told her. Ryder and the pups looked at her with shame. They felt like they were trespassing on private property. The sheriff had a worried look on her face.

"He alright?" She asked again.

"He'll be alright. Same with the pups. The tire's not but they'll be fine. They got a cool looking bus that they were riding in..." The man continued to describe what vehicle they were riding in and both adults didn't take notice how Ryder and Chase locked eyes with the second woman. The woman looked like a twenty year-old girl. She had an olive skin tone, brown hair, and brown eyes. She wore dark jeans and a T-shirt that was rumpled.

"Jed, I'll come by and get them later, alright?" The sheriff told him. But Jed kept on going about the details about the PAW Patroller.

"I don't have time for this today, okay?" She finally said with her hand in front of her, signaling him to stop talking.

"Yes, ma'am." He said before starting up the engine back up and taking off. Ryder and Chase looked at each other, wondering what was happening with the two women. In just a few minutes, they reached the repair shop. Inside the shop, the PAW Patroller was in idle and Jed was put to work. The pups inspected the room that they were in. Chase inspected the room like nobody else. He made sure that this room wasn't no trap and made sure that everything was in place. But one question was still running through his mind:

What did Jed mean 'there used to be fans here'?

As he surveyed the room, he noticed some posters on the wall. Posters that included people that were labelled as 'missing'. This caught Chase's attention and his heartrate started to increase. Rocky then trotted over to him.
