Swithene's POV
It's been a month... A d*mn month since that incident happened and from then on, I saw no trace of Byul sneakily try to stick something up my *ss.
I just found out she's on a business trip overseas after losing my pride and subtly asked Cecil about the Moon Empire's whereabouts... for the first time.
Though that wasn't the only thing that bothered me the whole time. All along I couldn't even stop myself from replaying the incident that happened a month ago. I've had the hard time believing that I actually initiated that 'thing'.
How indecent of me... Up to this moment, I still felt ashamed that everytime I think about it, my toes curl.
"Cecil, please get me coffee." I asked after I beeped on her line on the telephone.
I did plan on taking a short break since Christmas is coming soon. About 3 days wont hurt. I massaged on my temples, feeling my head started to pound again. I lack sleep okay?
"Seems like you're overworking yourself Miss Cam. You might need a nap." My eyes shifted to Cecil who walked towards me and handed me the cup of coffee on the table.
"You know I can't do that with these pile of work needed to be signed and the scheduled meeting for today." I sighed as I shifted my head towards the piles on the table.
"As expected from our hardworking boss." she chuckled.
"I still won't give you a raise for that compliment." I joked.
"This kid..." she shook her head amusingly.
"By the way, have you thought about joining the reunion you mentioned before?" I stopped. I haven't really thought about it much because I initially wasn't planning to go. Cecil was one of my friends along with Maria and Yong. The influencer and the model I mentioned before.
I did also mention about our family dramas here and there so they both basically know everything because they like a good family tea. I would publish my life in a book and I'll probably hide under a pen name if I could. It was that interesting and saucy.
However in terms of hanging out, Cecil was always out simply because she has a family to take care at home with two kids. Even though her douchebag of a husband left her and forced her to take care of her kids alone, her passion, dedication and work skills as a full-time mom and assistant never failed to amaze me. Her beauty too was a big-*ss bonus because HECK SHE COULD BE A MODEL WITH THAT FACE AND BODY YET SHE STAYED AS MY ASSISTANT.
Moving back to the reunion, "I'm not sure yet. I'll probably just have someone participate in my stead. I can contribute something but I can't go. I'm a very busy person, you see." she squinted her eyes at me as if not buying my reason. She could tell I'm avoiding the said celebration on purpose.
"You can't avoid them forever sweetheart." Yup, she caught me.
"I.. I know but-"
"I get that you're scared but I think it's time to show that you're a different person now. You're one of the beautiful CEOs, Cambria Swithene Myoung in our area. Woot! Wooot! And CEO Cambria isn't a weak Moonbyul-yi simp anymore." she said proudly, as if looking back to my past self brazenly.
"I... slept with Byul last month." her jaw literally dropped to the floor.
Yikes.
"The-the CEO of Moon Empire? A-As in like High School crush/heartbreaker Byul?!" I painfully nodded. Of coarse she knows what was going on in my past because she goes to the same school as me and that issue was f*cking scandalous and every student knew about that.
"Welp... I didn't expect that." she awkwardly chuckled.
"Does the other two know though?" I shook my head. They'd probably kill me of I tell them.
"That's... That's a problem because-"
"You did not-- YOU DID NOT!" when I tell you my soul left my body when Cecil was cut off by the one and only DUO who can shake my peaceful routine.
I looked at the door and saw Maria and Yong with their mouths gaped open with surprise written on their faces.
"Did my ship just sail to another continent?!" Yong squealed as she went to hug me followed by Maria.
"H-How long were you there?!"
"Long enough to hear that you have slept with the Moon." Maria crossed her arms over her chest. I pressed my lips together, not being able to formulate a word.
"Cam, What the heck, we just left for a vacation in Bahrain and we missed a quarter of your love journey." I rolled my eyes.
"It's not. Look, it was a mistake and we were drunk to think what was going on. End of discussion." I groaned.
"But still I'm hurt you didn't even text me about it." Yong huffed, attempted to act offended.
"Look, I'm sorry okay I was busy with work." I apologized. It was mostly true, my work keeps me from getting in touch with my friends.
"If you're really sorry, You'd treat us for drinks at our night-out." Maria said.
"That sounds like a great idea. Miss Cam here hasn't been having any good rest since heaven knows when. I think it's time for her to unwind." I heard Cecil agreed.
"Fine fine... Tonight." I gave in. Both girls cheered as if they sealed the deal.
"You're not backing out from that okay? Get your card ready cause we're gonna go partyyy~" Yong squealed.
Seems like they planned this the moment they came back from the trip.
Oh well... I might need something to drink... Just a little won't hurt.
