Moonbyul-yi's POV
I'm surprised. I didn't think she'd actually come to the reunion with me but here she is, dressing up beautifully. "You're so beautiful." I smiled upon seeing her. She gave me a tight smile and looked at herself on the mirror. Through her graceful mannerism, I could sense the tension all over body.
"Babe, you don't have to go if you don't want to. I'm concerned that you might feel forced to do this. I don't want to pressure you." I said as I rubbed her shoulders in comfort. I know we've got a rough past with people there and making her feel less secured and uncomfortable is the least thing I want her to feel.
"No, I'm good. I promise." she nodded her head and gave me a reassuring smile. I sighed and kissed her forehead. "I'll do my best to stay by your side at all times." I responded. Despite the straining feeling oozing out of her, I am somewhat proud. She's such a brave girl.
I noticed her looking at her phone from time to time.
"What's wrong?"
"The party starts at 6:30 and it's already 6:40." she said anxiously. I know she hates being late and hate how she doesn't have any idea what's going to happen tonight but I can guarantee nothing will happen to us.
"Hey, Hey... Calm down." I cupped her cheeks and soothed them gently. "We'll be alright." I reassured her. "Now May I have your hand, my lady?" I grinned as I spread out my hand for her to take. Her tensed brows finally released and took my hand. Even through the thick suit, I could still feel her warmth. And I love it.
Throughout the whole ride, I could examine her body language and it screams anxiousness even though she tells me otherwise. I grabbed her hand and squeezed them. "Relax, we'll be fine." I whispered and kissed her hand.
Swithene's POV
It didn't take long for us to reach our destination and just as expected, there's already familiar and non-familiar faces in. They all stopped to look at the arriving car where we're on.
When Byul opened the car door, they went silent seeing me on the shotgun seat.
"Come out now, love." she opened the door for me and gently pulled me out of the car. I felt like my throat suddenly felt parched.
"Oh my... So they're really together all along."
"I knew they had a thing from the start..."
"Yeah keep lying, I still remember you being against her back then." I heard someone chirped in as the other chuckled nervously.
"I hope she didn't force herself to her this time." I heard someone commented. "Did Byul just gave in?"
"Yahh~ Don't say that."
I feel like I'm about to vomit. The overwhelming feeling scared me to take further step inside but then I suddenly felt Byul's hand squeezing mine.
"I-I'm fine." I tried giving her a smile as we made our way inside the venue.
Few may have given us attention but I'm grateful majority of the people here didn't pay much attention on me. I was with her for about 40 minutes in and I suddenly feel like a baggage, tagging along with Byul as she socialize with everyone.
"Are you tired?" she suddenly asked when we finally took a sit on the table. "A little." I replied. I could notice my hands getting sweaty. Noticing the sullen look on my face she leaned forward to check on me. "What's bothering you?" she asked.
"Nothing, really. Just... The neon lights and music just overwhelm me." I forced out a chuckle. I'm just relieved people inside isn't that bad as the one from outside.
