Swithene's POV
I sighed while diving straight to bed. After the long trip, I showed the others their respective rooms inside the cabin.
However, were a little short on the bedrooms so we figured to share rooms. I was about to open up about sharing bed with Lisanna but it looks like she wants to share beds with Genesis more than her own sister. I'm not crying.. No, I'm not.
On the other hand, Zico has an efficient bed space enough to fit for two people so he shared it with Callisto. I offered my room to Yong and Maria while Wendy and Byul took the only guestroom we have. We didn't have a problem about the cabin's condition since it's cleaned by the cleaning lady before we came.
I decided to stay in my parents' room and organized the stuff I brought. What I'm relieved about is having the room all to myself, I wouldn't have to worry about whether I might snore too loud, invading their peaceful night.
I steadily opened my laptop and was about to start a small draft of a business proposal when a knock caught my attention.
"I'm going to the market to stock up the fridge. Is there something you want me to buy for you?" I looked up puzzled at Byul's sudden announcement and for the first time... Asking me what I want her to buy for me. I scanned her fit and she's suddenly changed in her clean black warm clothes for the cold weather as she anticipated for my answer.
"Not... That I know.. as of the moment." I slowly responded, a little skeptical of her sudden action. She took a second and nodded her head and was about to leave.
Hey, now that I've thought about it...
"You've been driving for hours already are you sure you're not tired? Maybe we should ask Zico and Callisto to run an errand so you can take a rest for awhile." I suggested. Not to give any malice but I was just a tiny bit worried.
"I asked them to settle the fire and watch over the kids with the others while I'm gone." she responded. I slightly nodded my head.
"If that's the case.. Then I'll come with you." I grabbed my hoodie and wrapped myself in warm coats and scarf before grabbing my boots. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything that important to do.
Her brow rose, "Are you sure?"
"It's the least I could do." I responded. There's nothing malicious about coming with her if I don't think about it in a weird way..
We left a word on whose in charge of the house before leaving. It's literally freezing outside so we hurried inside the car and started the engine.
"Be careful though.. It's slippery around here." I encouraged her not to be in a hurry and drive as safely as possible.
I received a small nod from her and checked everything. In no time were already on the road. All the while, I couldn't help but steal small glances at her direction. Her eyes always look so sharp and cold when she's concentrating on something, especially on the road. Does she also pull this kind of look when she's working? I mean, I never really saw her when she works silently except the time when I came to her office but at that time, she was always yelling and scolding at everybody and I was too distracted because I was literally ticked off by bringing me there with no good reason. But other than that, she's always ahead of everything charmingly without even trying. At first, it did annoy me because I've never seen someone as perfect as her. I bet anybody would either be envious of her or admire her watching her work.
