Swithene's POV
It was chaotic last night. When I got home after I gave Maria and Yong a lift to their pads, I drank some alcohol and bawled my eyes till I blacked out. Yeah, it was pretty dumb of me requesting such stupid things to Byul and ended up hurting myself. And that's why you shouldn't play with fire kids.
Morning came and I had the pounding feeling in my head. It made me winced in pain and went to the bathroom to take some painkillers. A notification in my phone caught my attention and it was from Mr. Duke from the Tech Company, asking me to have brunch with him. He was very influential around this area and was a 32 year old bachelor.
Not going to lie, he is a very nice man. Nice enough to be a friend atleast so I didn't hesitate to say yes to the invite. Forming business connection with him wouldn't be so bad.
I quickly took a warm shower and brushed my teeth, removing all the scent of alcohol in my mouth along with a mouthwash. I felt so beat up.
I got 10 missed calls from her last night but I didn't bother returning back the call or else I would've said something I'm not supposed to say under the influence of alcohol. The effects of confrontation feared me. I'm not very good at saying what I really feel and I have to be honest, I thought that telling her what I feel would make things more complicated between us.
It was all in the past now so I should probably move on.
I quickly straighten down the outfit for today and looked at myself in the mirror. Not bad, not bad.
I quickly paired it with a leather blazer to protect myself from the cold morning and some black leather boots. It's already 9:30 am so I have at least an hour to get to the destined restaurant he set up for us. It was quite chilly out but the sun is bright enough for me to start the day good. The make up part was a pain. I look worn out with bags under my eye and my complexion wasn't looking too well so I have to pay extra attention to it.
I quickly put on my earpiece as soon as I got into my red Ferarri Pininfarina Sergio and started the engine. As soon as I'm on the road, I got a call from Cecil from the other company. I didn't hesitate to answer it.
"HEY WHERE ON GOD'S HANDS ARE YOU?!" I almost flinched on how Cecil was literally screaming on her phone. "I'm on my way for a brunch with the Ceo of Tech company. Why are you screaming?" I furrowed my brows in confusion.
"You will not believe who came." My curiosity heightened. Why would she sound panic this early in the morning.
"Who came-"
"THE CEO OF THE MOON EMPIRE!" My car halted as I stared at the road in disbelief. "ARE YOU SERIOUS, HOW?!" I shrieked.
"I DON'T KNOW, THE FRONT DOOR?! SHE'S IN YOUR OFFICE RIGHT NOW SITTING PATIENTLY BUT THE STAFFS ARE SERVING HER AS MUCH AS THEY CAN SO THE WARM WELCOME'S... NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT BUT HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING?!" I shook my head. I am so confused right now. Did she came to talk about last night? Oh I hope not, I'm not ready for that conversation.
