Hermione sat in the courtyard, thinking to herself. A few weeks had passed and it was getting close to the full moon. She felt anxious and frightful about actually going through the transformation. She may understand the steps she will have to take to get ready for it, but she didn't know what she was supposed to do to prepare herself for this emotional part of this. What if it really hurts? What if it was so unbearable it would ruin her? She had seen how it was for Lupin and she was scared for her life of what she was going to go through. She was about to push herself up from her seat when she heard two familiar voices calling out for her.
She peered over her shoulder to find Ron and Harry walking towards her, waving their hands wildly. Hermione felt her lips curve up into a smile. The first she had that day. They rounded the fountain as they stood beside her.
"So... today's the big day? Um... how do you feel?" Harry asked, nervously. After all, what were you supposed to say to someone during this entire thing? Hermione shook her head.
"To be honest, I'm a bit nervous and... scared." She admitted to them. She usually had books to help her and aid her into figuring out what to do to deal with stressful situation such as this. However, there were no books out there to help her in understanding how she could deal with the pain of transforming. Harry and Ron sat down on both sides of her as they lightly held her hands in their own.
"We wish we could help you, 'Mione." Ron mumbled. Hermione nodded her head in understanding. She was just glad she had them to care for her. She knew that if she didn't have them here to support her, she was going to go through hell emotionally and physically. She opened her mouth to say her thanks when someone spoke up before her.
"If you're worried about the pain, don't take the potion." Hermione's head shot up as she found that dark-haired man looking down on her. She jumped onto her feet in time to watch him push himself off from the roof of the fountain and land perfectly onto his own feet. Harry and Ron pushed themselves from their seats as they stood beside her.
"Why are you here?" Hermione asked him. The man chuckled.
"Werewolves have to stick together, Hermione." He said, tilting his head to the side and caused some of his hair to run over his face. Hermione shook her head.
"You better get out of here or I'll get McGonagall and she won't like to see you around." Hermione threatened him, holding her wand out as she was ready to defend herself. He suddenly lifted his hand to his chest as he pretended to be hurt.
"Wow, I'm just trying to help you with this transformation and you go and do this. I see you rather go through this thing alone." The man said as he sighed.
"She's not alone. She has us." Harry told him, pointing at himself and Ron, who was nodding his head in agreement. The man burst out laughing while shaking his head and clinging his hands to his chest.
"You rather go through the transformation with two, little boys, who aren't werewolves and have no idea of what goes on then a real werewolf, who has years of experiences in this whole thing?" The man asked. Even though Hermione didn't want to admit it, but he was right. She needed someone to help her through it. Even if he was a crazy, werewolf who worked alongside Fenrir Greyback. Hermione sighed while shaking her head in disbelief of what she was about to say.
"Okay, I would like your help."
