Everything went back to normal after the festival. Just like how they were kids. Everyday spent together, talking, playing games, writing, reading together, smiling together, laughing together.
Ever since the prince received the dagger from Ahknrty from the festival, he refused to leave it anywhere. He made sure to always have it with him. He remembers how the palace had a ball, and he wore his dagger to the dance. No matter how many times someone told him to take it off, he refused. He wanted so badly to just brag about Ahknrty. How amazing she was, how she was the light in his dark lonely world. He would do anything for her.
His mother is always bringing in suitors, calling him in to take a look and maybe pick one, but they were never good enough. No one could ever be good enough for him. When he thinks about it, his mind always migrates back to Ahknrty. He stops and thinks for a second.
"Could I be?... No, there's no way. I've never thought of her in that way, but would I be happy with any of the suitors?" He thinks harder "I think I might l-" getting interrupted.
"Prince Elijah, you have another line of suitors waiting for you". One of the butlers called, having him enter the room.
He entered the room to be met with a row of five very beautiful young women. You could tell that they were all of a very high status based on the outfits they were wearing.
Girl number one was a very pretty girl. She had a round face and a small waist. She was wearing a beautiful white and sparkly dress. It looked as if the pearls on the bodice were hand sewn on. She had small lips and gorgeous long silky chocolate brown hair with bangs that laid perfectly on her face. She had a beautiful smile and looked at the prince with care. He looked at her with no emotion and moved on to the next young lady.
Girl number two was wearing a lavender ball gown. It was made of silk and was clearly tailored to match her body shape. The dress puffed out when it reached her hips. She was skinnier than the girl before and didn't have as much of a curvy body. She had red curly hair sitting perfectly on the top of her head in a bun kept in place with bobby pins with little jews on the end. She was pale with freckles covering half her face bringing out her forest green eyes. She shyly looked up at him with sparkly eyes but Elijah had no interest.
Girl number three was a gorgeous girl. She was tall with dark skin and soft lips. She had dark chocolate eyes and her hair was in braids that laid on her shoulders perfectly. They framed her face making it look like it could be the most beautiful piece of artwork in an ancient art gallery. She wore a red velvet dress that hugged the curves of her body, making her look like a goddess. Her skin was glowing and her eyes matched her face shape perfectly. She gave him a look, showing that she had confidence but Elijah had no interest.
Girl number four had beautiful tanned skin. She had straight blonde hair. Her hair looked like it was made of gold. Luxurious and shiny. She had a cute button nose and gorgeous bright blue eyes. She was tiny. Everything about her was small which made her cute. She wore a powder blue dress that brought out her ocean eyes. The corset on the dress made her waist look tiny. The individually stitched designs sewn into her dress made her look as pretty as a violet in a sunny field in the middle of summer. She smiled, glanced at him with a look of hope in her eyes. Still no response.
Girl number five seemed to be short. She wasn't skinny but was by no means fat. She had wavy blond hair and freckles that accented the bridge of her nose. Her hair was dirty blonde and wavy. Her hair was pulled back into a braid with yellow flowers in her hair. She had glowing skin with a scar on the bridge of her nose and over her left eye. She was wearing a gold dress with gems carefully placed and individually sewed on. She had a bright smile,
beautiful blue eyes that are the color of the ocean and a button nose. She gave him a loving smile.
