"Good morning!"
"Good mor-" Knot squinted when he heard Arthit's cheerful voice, very different from yesterday. Arthit sounded as if the time Kong was beside him and they were in a kind of a relationship.
Knot's eyes widened in realization, so he quickly looked at Arthit and saw his friend smiling from ear to ear as if he didn't look like it was the end of the world yesterday.
"You look good today. What- are you ready to move on or-"
"Kong's back," Arthit's smile widened more, sitting on his seat in a gaily way. "He returned last night, and he explained everything to me. He told me it's because of his parent and he didn't want to involve me," Arthit sighed in worry, tilting his head. "It's probably dangerous, he's probably worried for me."
Knot shook his head and rolled his eyes at Arthit's bright aura. If he were an anime character, he'd have his spotlight by now, and he'd be sparkling by just how happy Arthit was.
And, of course, Kong was the reason. Knot shouldn't have asked.
"So, that's it? You talked and you're back to being boyfriends, but not really?"
Arthit happily shook his head. "No, Kong said he loves me too and," He turned to look to the other side, his cheeks warming up. "Now we're together."
"Like boyfriends boyfriends together?"
"Yes! What else?"
Knot chuckled, seeing Arthit getting more embarrassed. "So, when are we going to meet him? As your best friend, I should give him a shovel talk to know if he's serious with you."
Arthit glared at Knot. "You won't do such a thing. You've seen how shy Kong gets whenever he's around you guys. You don't need to scare him as well. I want Kong to be comfortable with my friends so please? Give this to me."
"He hurt you. How can we be assured he won't do that again if he wouldn't get a small threat?"
"Kong already explained everything to me. Like I told you, what happened wasn't his fault. I don't blame him. Kong did what he had to do," Arthit opened his laptop and smiled at Knot. "Whatever happened is between us. It's done, we're happy now. And he also promised he won't do that thing again. I trust Kong. Understood?"
Knot still looked like he was about ready to have a 'talk' with Kong. Arthit tried talking him down matching Knot's deadpan look with a stare down of his own but their little staring match ended when Arthit's phone rang.
Knot didn't have to ask who called Arthit, the shift from looking like a threatening kitten to a happy puppy was already a clear sign.
"Hi, Kong," Knot groaned at Arthit's cheerful voice. Here is Arthit with a lovesick mode on again. But this is better than seeing him so downcast. Arthit glared at him before smiling again. "Hm? Yes, I'm okay. How are you in your new work? They better not bully you-" Arthit chuckled. "You are too cute for that thing."
Knot's eyebrows scrunched when he saw Arthit mindlessly playing with his pen as he was all smiles talking to his boyfriend. Knot honest to God was reminded of a high school girl from an 80's rom-com movie talking to his boyfriend on her telephone while laying on her with her head hanging a bit.
Knot almost fell from his seat when Arthit laughed hard. "That's so adorable, Kong! And what else happened?"
Knot tapped Arthit's shoulder. "We're here to work."
Arthit rolled his eyes. "Anyway, are you free later? Want to eat with us? Me and my friends. You already met them," Arthit nodded and smiled. "Okay."
