//

Being in a secret relationship was really hard especially because Arthit had to pretend nothing changed– he's still sad, sadder because his ex was set on to marry someone else, he's still supposed to be lonely– to his friends and most especially to his parents.

It was hard because Arthit had to lie and his guilt-ridden brain berated him for worrying his parents and lying to them.

It was also hard because they had always been sharp when it came to him.

It's like they had extra senses for him that they knew what exactly he felt even though he tried very hard to control his emotions.

So before going home that night he got back together with his ex, Arthit and Kongpob had to watch a very dramatic movie first so when Arthit got home, still thinking of that movie, his parents missed the fact that beneath slumped posture was a happy guy in love.

"Oon, we heard what happened..." His Mae quickly hugged him and caressed his locks. "We're going to be okay, okay? We'll move on from this."

"Yes, Mae," Arthit tightened his embrace around her to cover the guilt he had on his face.

"You're going to find someone better," his father said with a reassuring smile.

"But don't force yourself to fall in love with someone else. If it's your fate to move on and be with someone else instead, it'll come naturally... If it doesn't, it's fine, you don't have to be sad. Happiness doesn't always come in the form of having a partner," Mrs. Rojnapat pecked her son's forehead. "You can be very happy loving yourself or having a calling in your life like volunteering on that support foundation, you're very happy there, right?"

Arthit nodded. "So much."

"See? You don't have to be with someone else just to be happy."

"Or you can have a dog or a cat," his father suggested.

"That, too."

"I will, Mae, Por. Thank you." Arthit sighed and gave them a small smile. How he wanted to tell them everything and tell them they shouldn't have to worry about his feelings. But he knew they're still going to worry, especially his father, who still hadn't forgiven Kongpob.

But that's better than worrying that their son would never found love again.

Arthit knew, even with their motivational speeches that they sill wanted him to fall in love and have someone when their time comes. Like every parent does.

But if his parents were hard to fool, his friends were harder and very challenging to deceive.

With his parents, Arthit could just lock himself in his room or reason out that the shift in his emotions was due to work. But with his friends who's with him most hours of everyday, his happiness was hard to hide.

Especially from Knot.

Arthit's screen up lit up notifying him of a message from his boyfriend. It used to be on vibration mode but one time his phone vibrated, Knot gave his a suspicious look so Arthit quickly changed it. Arthit opened the message and widely smiled when he saw Kongpob's messages of his random thoughts and what he's currently doing.

Knot, fortunately was very focused on his task so Arthit responded as well.

'Isn't the C.O.O. busy? What are you doing sending messages like these?'

'I can say the same thing to you, Mr. Rojnapat, it's your work hour... So why are you replying to your boyfriend, then? We're compensating you expecting you to do your job.'
