Almost two weeks had passed, but Arthit still hadn't found the time to talk to Kong alone. Arthit is itching to confess his feelings for the younger and ask for his permission if Arthit can court him.

Although Arthit always went to visit Kong and wait for him like a puppy in hopes of getting the only chance to talk to him, Kong was always either still busy working or he's gone to goodness knows where. Arthit went to find Kong on those days, but it's almost as if Kong was hiding from him, which made no sense because the last time they separated, Kong didn't look like he was mad at Arthit.

Arthit was fine wasting his break time for the younger just to have a chance to talk to him but not Knot. As a good friend, Knot talked to him to snap Arthit out of his desperation, advising him to let Kong be for a while because the younger's probably busy with his new job position.

But Arthit didn't want to accept that advice.

The truth is, Arthit's very scared. He's scared to see the gap between them widening more right before his eyes and knowing he didn't do anything about it. He's scared to see Kong meeting other people and falling for them instead because Arthit could not confess his feelings. He's terrified at the thought that Kong will forget him. He's scared that this will be all like Namtan again.

Arthit's very scared of Kong leaving him. He wouldn't take it. Not now. Not ever. He likes Kong. He probably loves him already.

So, Arthit did the only thing he could think of. Bombard Kong with messages and calls, begging the younger to meet up with him. Even for the last time.

Fortunately for Arthit, Kong took pity on him, and so the younger responded with an apology and a promise to meet Arthit at the bus shed near their favorite ramen shop.

"He looks hopeful and happy," Mr. Khan pointed out while they were both looking at Arthit waiting at the shed 15 minutes earlier than their supposed time of meet up.

Kongpob silently agreed with the man. Arthit looked excited as he looked at his phone and on the streets, hoping to catch sight of Kong. Kongpob mentally pitied Arthit knowing the guy he was waiting for wouldn't show up tonight.

The fashionable guy discreetly looked at the bag with Kong's lame clothes, but he shook his head, controlling himself from giving into Arthit's lovelorn look. He shouldn't have brought the bag with him. It's a great temptation.

But Kongpob's decision is final and irrevocable. Kong would be an asshole to Arthit, so Arthit would start hating him, and he would move away from him. But it's all fine, because K or Kongpob, the real him, would be there to save the day. He would comfort Arthit, tell him Kong is the worst so Arthit would hate him more and before they know it, Arthit has fallen in love with Kongpob. Kong's gone, forgotten, and nowhere to be found.

And they'll live happily ever after. Boom. It's a perfect setup. Kongpob's a genius.

Arthit would be hurting now, but it's for his own sake.

"Aren't you going to do something about it?" Mr. Khan asked when he saw his master's rigid posture.

Kongpob slumped on his seat. "No, Loong. Why will I? It's Kong he's waiting for, right? Kong is an asshole. Arthit doesn't deserve him. He deserves someone else, and it's me."

Mr. Khan shook his head. "At this point, I'm convinced Kong's a different person."

"I don't know if I would want to wish that because then it would be harder to have him leave Arthit, or it's easier so I can punch the guy for ruining my supposed love story with Arthit."
