"Are you sure nothing can change your mind anymore?" Knot asked with a deep frown the next morning.

Last night, Arthit told him his plans of resigning and hopefully, moving away for some little time. Though met with shocked and negative reactions, they understood why he had to do it. That's why Arthit loved his friends and he knew he picked the right set of friends.

Arthit's going to miss all of them so much. It's a bummer that he had to do this because of his failed love life, the people around him were being affected.

Arthit shook his head, "It's for the best," Arthit gave Knot a dry smile. "By the way, I already organized all the needed files here in this flash drive, later I'll tell you how to bribe the suppliers-"

He paused when a notification popped in. It's an email notifying him of a meeting with the C.O.O. For 2 months of Kongpob chasing after Arthit, never did the guy use his power to force Arthit to do what he wanted so the fact that Kongpob finally did use his position meant he's had enough. It's probably because of Arthit's sudden resignation.

"Why?"

"The C.O.O. wants to talk to me."
Knot's eyebrows scrunched. "You don't have to do it. You're already leaving, they couldn't fire you if you didn't talk to him. What more could do they do?"

That's right. And it's more beneficial for Arthit if he would just be fired since he didn't have to wait for 2 more weeks to have his replacement.

Arthit slumped on his seat. Though he knew that, something in him wanted to talk to Kongpob. For the last time.

That part of him got louder when Kongpob's secretary came to fetch him with a polite smile, "The C.O.O. is waiting for you at his office."

Arthit nodded and stood up shrugging at Knot's questioning look, silently reasoning that it would be embarrassing not to come with the secretary especially because the girl looked like she wouldn't leave if she's not with Arthit.

"Sir..." Arthit stayed at the entrance of Kongpob's office.

"Have a seat."

Arthit deeply inhaled to gather his strength to look tough and indifferent in front of his boss. Arthit gave Kongpob an impassive look.

"I heard that you wanted to resign," Kongpob leaned forward. "You're a great asset in our company, it would take some time before we could find someone as great as you. It would have a huge effect on us so I suggest that you try to rethink and-"

"No, sir. My decision is final."

"We can try to double your salary or have it increased by atleast a 150%. We can also try to add a rest day and lessen your works, just please, try to reconsider your decisions."

"Thank you for those offers but-"

"Is it me?" Kongpob sighed and slumped on his seat. "Is it because you're annoyed by me chasing after you?"

"Sir, you read my letter. You already read why I have to do it. My parents decided to-"

"I'll stop it, everything. I'll stop bothering you. I'll keep my distance away from you. I won't talk to you anymore. You will no longer see me unless needed. Just please, stay, the company needs you."

That's what Arthit wanted to hear, to have Kongpob gave up on him to help him move on but now that he did, Arthit's too stumped to hear it.

He's frozen that when Kongpob started to begin his spiel, explaining his side to Arthit that the older had tried to ignore for 2 months straight, he was frozen on his seat that the only thing he could do was finally listen.
