You and Xiao weren't painfully obvious with the fact you were dating you acted just as normally but when Aether went to look for Xiao at lunch and found you in the courtyard hugging and kissing it absolutely broke him.

He tumbled into a random classroom and cried through his blurry eyes he didn't see someone writing in a notebook quietly in the corner.

The white hair boy swiftly and almost silently walked towards the boy crying on the floor.

Sure Aether was never in a relationship with Xiao but he had a crush on him for about three months so it hurt like hell.

Absolutely sobbing until someone comes and pats his back instantly reeling back he sees Kazuha smiling gently at him and then slowly opening his arms to signal a hug.

He gently pats Aethers back like hes cradling him like hes glass as Aether sobs in kazuhas chest "may I ask what has you so distressed?" he asks already having an idea as to what it was.

"... y/n and... Xiao theyre...they're... together" he says in between hics "I see" is all Kazuha can say without his own voice trembling he too feels tears welling in his eyes now at hearing the news.

"well I guess it wasn't meant to be... not in this lifetime i suppose" he smiles but its not a happy smile it melancholy smile an expression he hardly wears.

"But nothing to be cry over, we couldnt have them but who knows this may have opened doors to other things" he gets up out-stretching a hand to the blond boy.

and he gingerly take it "I suppose" is all he says rubbing his eyes voice hoarse and sad.

"whered? whered Aether go??" you ask Lumine "he went home" is all she replys with "oh thats to bad" is all you say

"hm i wonder why though" you say to no one in particular "mind your business" is all Xiao says "dont tell me what to do" you say annoyed he just huffs

in return you mock his huff earning a glare in return you just laugh at him and he glares even more
