"So, what did you think?"As I stepped out of the ramen shop, Jade followed behind, an ear to ear grin across her lips.
"I can tell you loved the ramen." I shook my head with a smile, looking up to the noirette, "I give it a nine out of ten."
Jade's smile beamed even brighter as she heard that I also enjoyed her favourite dish. The samurai wrapped her arm around mine, resting her head on my shoulder as the two of us made our way down the starlit streets of Ironforge.
"What's that over there?"
I followed where Jade was looking over to, seeing a crowd gathered at the street corner. From where we were stood, I couldn't see why everyone had congregated but as we got closer, I quickly realised who the centre of attention was.
"What do you mean you don't serve children? Do I look like a fuckin' kid to you?"
Letting out a deep sigh, I pushed through the crowd, making my way to the centre. As expected, a certain rose blonde sorceress was being held back by a cloaked reaper. Death turned my way, nodding with a smile as Jade and I joined the other two members of our group.
Two particularly muscular dwarves were standing at the entrance to what appeared to be a busy night club. The windows were slightly tinted, loud music blaring from the inside.
"What's the problem here?"
I stepped forward, looking to the two bouncers who exchanged uncertain looks. One of the dwarves turned to me, "Uh, this is a pub and we don't serve kids here mate."
At that, Ariel let out an inaudible bluster, furious that she was being denied entry because the two bouncers thought she was a child. I felt a smile across my lips, mirroring Death's face as the two of us nodded to each other.
"I think there's been a misunderstanding. We're not kids so if you could let us in..."
But the other bouncer wasn't having any of it, "None of you have any id so I'm afraid we can't let you in."
Just then, Jade stepped in front of me, adjusting the blade attached to her waist. The bouncers immediately recognised the noirette, stepping to the side without a word to let the four of us in.
I thanked the samurai as she led us through the entrance. Ariel stuck her tongue out to one of the bouncers, wrapping her arm around Death's before either of them could say anything.
As we stepped inside, I felt a wave of heavy metal music fill my ears. I felt the smirk across my lips fade away as I turned to the rose blonde behind me, "You wanted to get into this club? What even is this music?"
"Hey, don't blame me. It looked better than all the others from the outside." Ariel took the lead, finding a booth for the four of us at the left side of the club.
We crossed an elevated bridge and as I looked underneath, the dancefloor was jumping, literally. I guessed the dwarves were a fan of heavy metal music, the dj blasting music from an elevated stage, dozens of speakers surrounding the club.
I shrugged my shoulders, taking a seat beside Jade and Death as Ariel called over one of the club workers. Without hesitating, she ordered the most expensive bottle of champagne for the table, a beaming smile on her face.
As the dwarven waiter disappeared to fetch the bottle, the rose blonde turned to the four of us, "Hey, I've got an idea."
I looked up from the conversation I was having with Death, interested by what the rose blonde had to say.
"Jade why don't you get on stage! You can do this better than the dj!"
The three of us were stunned silent. I looked over to the noirette who didn't know how to react to what she was hearing.
