- Death ----
"Looks like we missed all the action, huh."
By now, the night had passed and the morning sun was resting on the horizon. Aaron and I were sat on the veranda, enjoying the peaceful morning.
"Yeah, but at least the girls had everything under control."
The two of us looked to each other, exchanging knowing smiles. I thought back to the events of last night, remembering that Ironforge's northern district was in ruins when we arrived. Thankfully, Ariel had evacuated the city and Jade had defeated the arcane dragon.
"Hey Aaron, are you free to talk?"
A familiar voice called out to the wine haired boy at my side and as I turned around, Ariel was stood behind me, a half serious look on her face. The shutter door to the room Jade was resting in opened slowly, the noirette stepping out. Her face was tired but I could tell she didn't want to be left out of the conversation.
"Yeah, what's up?"
Both Ariel and Jade joined us on the veranda, the tired samurai resting her head against Aaron's shoulder.
"The monk that told us about the samurai, he was a Celestial worshipper. And he was the one who summoned the midnight arcane dragon. Did you know about that?"
Aaron furrowed his brow, looking to the rose blonde, "No, but I was cautious around him because it's unusual to find dark elves outside of their native regions. Seeing a light elf isn't uncommon but dark elves are known to be more secluded and prefer to stay isolated."
"You said he was a Celestial worshipper?" I posed the question to Ariel who nodded in response. I turned to Aaron, wondering if he knew anything about that.
He shrugged his shoulders, "He must have been posing as one of the monks of the temple. It's rare for a Celestial worshipper to show themselves and if they do it's usually because someone finds them rather than them revealing themselves."
Before continuing, Aaron stood to my feet, "The Great River Tigris is just east of here and beyond that is the Ashen Forest."
Jade looked over to me, "That means-"
"Yeah, if you want to get to the Shinigami Realm, that's the only way. I'm going to deal with the Titan of Tigris and when I get back, we should be done here."
At that, he bid everyone a quick farewell, stepping off the veranda, "Oh and I should mention, there's a bunch of people waiting outside."
With that, he motioned with his left hand, sending him high into the sky as he took off for the Great River of the Ash.
"Did he say there's people waiting outside?"
Ariel looked over to Jade and I, uncertain if she had heard Aaron correctly. The noirette smiled, nodding her head.
"So much for a quiet exit."
I stood to my feet, looking to the front door, "Well we should see what they want."
I made my way over to the front door, opening it slowly. Ariel joined me at the doorway, peering out from behind. At the bottom of the descending stairs, a huge crowd of people had gathered.
