Soaring through the skies, I found myself gliding through the air at blistering speed. Soon, I had cleared Sandrider's Slope, taking a diversion to my left, turning north.
No more than a few moments later, I was surfing along the calm surface of the Great River, still riding on the makeshift shield Raya had made for us at the top of the mountain. I looked ahead, seeing that the clouds were hanging low over the river, blocking out whatever laid beyond the fog.
As I appraoched the foggy mist, I surfed along underneath the clouds, making my way to the next side. I thought back a few weeks, remembering that the fog bordering the Great River Pishon hung much lower than clouds I was surfing under right now.
I shook away the thought, keeping focused on the task ahead. Soon enough, I emerged on the other side of the clouds, seeing a large mountain looming in the distance. The summit was obscured by a heavy fog, the peak surrounded by a small forest.
Deciding that I didn't need the sled anymore, I ditched it on the water's surface, letting it sink to the bottom of the river. With a swift motion, I twisted my right arm anti-clockwise, calling on a gust of wind to fly me over to the river bank.
I let out a huff, seeing that my goal was still some ways away. Choosing to save my energy, I set out on foot, closing in on the foot of the mountain.
Around half an hour later, I found myself stood at the base of the rising peak. I looked ahead, staring down a dark, descending chasm. A thick earthy stench wafted out from the cave below but that wasn't enough to turn me away.
As I stepped forward, I snapped my fingers, summoning a small orange flame to light up the path ahead. Just like before, the cavern descended deeper and deeper into the mountain, the heavy earthy stench becoming more potent with every downward step I took.
Soon, I arrived at an opening deep beneath the mountain. The moment I placed my foot into the cavern, I felt the rocky ground become unusually soft. As I looked down, I realised that the entire floor of the cave was covered in a layer of sand, though not too thick.
Heavy, booming footsteps echoed around the cave, the bellowing groans of a waking beast filling my ears.
"Who dares to cross the Great River of the Desert?" A loud voice boomed out, echoing around the loft chamber.
I rolled my eyes, dissapointed in the titan's unoriginality. I had already heard this before, from Titan John no less but I wasn't surprised to see that they both had the shared intelligence of a grain of rice.
"Bring your ugly face here Luke! I've come for your head you piece of shit!" On queue, I snapped with my left hand, the glowing orange flame expanding greatly in size, lighting up the chamber.
Before me was stood a towering titan, standing at least twenty feet tall. Atop his overgrown body, the titan's ugly, battered face was staring straight at me. Short mahogany brown hair sat on his head, his clothes ripped and worn. Two big, beady black eyes were fixed on me as I returned the stare by spitting out to my side.
"I've already dealt with John and now you're next, you sack of shit."
As expected, the huge titan fell for my taunt, letting out a defiant roar. He stepped forward, shaking the chamber as he swung wildly with his left arm.
"Earth Seal: Raging Sandstorm!"
Quickly, I raised both arms, twisting my hands in opposite directions, whipping up a brutal dust storm. The powerful rotating winds turned away the fast approaching fist, forcing the titan to lose his balance.
