"And so it will be decided here, if you can stand up to the Three Great Shogun of Hinode no Tochi. Don't hold anything back, War Goddess, your life depends on it."
With his meteor hammer in one hand and Kamimusubi's Strength in his other, Kinich Ahau looked down to me with fierce eyes. I could sense his bloodlust from here and it was clear that he wanted to go all out from the beginning.
I didn't respond, keeping my gaze fixed on the man who would become my opponent. Even from a glance, I could see that his large body couldn't contain his excitement for battle. His violent aura was bursting at the seams, scaring the nearby birds away.
"Hm, I'll take your silence as you accepting this fight. Though it's not like you have any choice."
With that, Kinich Ahau swung forward with his meteor hammer, the spiked weapon closing in on me with great speed.
I nimbly evaded the first attack, keeping my eyes fixed on my opponent. But still, his movement's exceeded my expectations. His large body was deceiving because before I could react, Kinich Ahau lurched forward with his sword at the ready.
"Akuma's Hellfire!"
The moment before he made contact, crimson red flames cloaked my golden blade. With this added strength, I was able to keep my opponent at a stalemate, forcing him to retreat before I overwhelmed him.
As though he was impressed, Kinich Ahau gave a slight nod but a serious look took over his face moments later.
"I'll return your efforts to you, War Goddess! Starlight Fist!"
A harsh, bright starlight cloaked the spiked weapon as Kinich Ahau trailed it on the floor. He moved toward me slowly quickly swinging around in a circular motion.
As the chained star came flying toward me, I only had one escape. I leapt into the air, still keeping my blade at the ready.
But then, my opponent twisted his arm, swinging the meteor hammer upward. I was caught by surprise and had no chance to evade this time.
My left leg was instantly severed, flying off somewhere in the rainforest. I didn't cry out in pain, keeping my face serious as I landed on the floor. I supported my body with my blade and sure enough, my leg grew back. Even though I was more than fine, my kimono would never return to its former beauty.
"Oh, I was not expecting that! This battle is going to be legendary!"
With an excited roar, Kinich Ahau announced his intentions. Though my left leg felt a little unfamiliar, I was thankful that my Incarnate powers blessed me with such potent regeneration.
Just as I looked back up, my opponent came surging toward me, his sword at the ready. The white steel blade was alight with onyx black flames and with one swing, the trees behind me had been instantly levelled.
I was fortunate enough to evade the first attack but my opponent was not letting up.
"Almighty Outburst!"
At that, the onyx fire grew in intensity, the flames sputtering out as Kinich Ahau charged forward once again. I knew I had no chance to avoid, a head on counter the only thing I could rely on now.
"Byakko's Destruction!"
The roar of the magnificent white tiger filled the atrium as its spirit guided my blade. Yet again, my opponent and I were held to a stalemate, unable to break through the other's guard. I pushed forward with everything I had, knowing I needed to take an early advantage, but to no avail.
