"Hey, Aaron, wake up. It's time."As I heard my voice being called, my eyes fluttered open as I was almost blinded by the morning sun as it flooded into the room. I stirred under the covers, not wanting to wake up just yet, muttering something about needing another ten minutes.
But before I could close my eyes, I felt myself falling through the air. With a thump, I landed on my bed, jolting me awake. I sat up quickly, seeing who was behind waking me up, my eyes falling on a giggling rose haired girl.
Jade was stood by her side, Death standing next to the open window. I rolled my eyes at the three, climbing out of bed.
"Alright, alright, I'm awake." I stretched my arms out, feeling the fatigue wash away as I rubbed my eyes. "Eh? Is that all you're wearing?"
I looked over to the other three, each of them a little confused by what I meant. I shook my head before continuing, "We're going north. You know, to Snowpine Woods? It's in the name."
At once the three let out a collective sigh of realisation. Jade turned on her heels, pulling Ariel by the arm as they exited our room, "We'll be back!"
Slowly, I sat back on the messy bed, Death taking a seat opposite me. There was a half smile across his face as he spoke up, "I guess everything went well?"
"Yeah, that's one Titan dealt with. Three more Rivers and three more Titans." I stood up to my feet, making my way toward the bathroom, calling out to Death, "I have Water's Breath now. There's only four more left."
I washed my face quickly before brushing my teeth. My eyes wandered up to the mirror, a confident smile across my lips as I stepped out of the bathroom.
Death was waiting patiently, sat on his bed in his new, more suitable outfit. He was wearing a stone grey cloak, ash black fur lining the edges. An engraved gold button held the cloak together at the neck, showing that Death was wearing a dark ocean blue woolen sweater underneath.
He was wearing smokey grey winter boots and a pair of thick black heavy duty cargo pants. His hood was down, his short crimson red hair bathing in the morning sunlight.
"Four? Aren't there only three more Rivers left?"
As he posed the question, I reached into the pile of our stuff, pulling out my outfit as I replied, "Yeah, there's five in total. But there's only four Great Rivers."
Quickly, I pulled on a pair of walnut brown corduroy trousers. After, I threw on a long sleeve black shirt, the outline of a drawn skull at the centre. As I reached for the fire brick red quilted puffer jacket, Death stood to his feet. I slipped into some black winter boots, turning to the cloaked reaper as he attached his scythe to the holder across his back.
"Looks like there's more to this than what I know. You'll work it out, I know that much."
I half smiled as he spoke, reaching for the door handle as the girls knocked from the other side. As the door swung open, Ariel opened a soul mirror beneath the pile of clothes and supplies, keeping them for safekeeping as Death and I stepped out of our room.
The four of us were stood on the landing, both Jade and Ariel wearing new outfits entirely. The sorceress was wearing a cream white quilted jacket, jasmine white fur lining the hood. She was also wearing thick snow white winter boots, rose pink fur lining the cuffs and some black khaki trousers.
Jade wearing a sacramento green winter jacket, black fur around the hood. Underneath, she was wearing the full length forest green kimono she had picked out earlier. Black outlines of flowers decorated the dress, the noirette wearing some midnight black winter boots, fur lining the cuffs of the boots.
