"D-Do you have to go so soon?"A shy voice called out to me and as I turned around, a young brown blonde was stood in the doorway of her home. She was nervously twisting her toes into the ground, trying not to make eye contact but she had still worked up the courage to ask me such a question.
My lips curled into a smile as I lowered my eyes. I looked up to the young girl, "You know we can't stay here forever. Besides, I have to find your brother, right?"
Raya looked away slightly, her voice trailing off, "R-Right-"
Then out of nowhere, a certain rose blonde appeared, pulling the young girl into a tight hug. "Aww, I'm going to miss you Raya!"
Ariel was wearing a long sleeve crimson red crop top, a short spruce brown cape tied around her neck. She was wearing a chestnut brown miniskirt, black ankle high boots and her witch's hat.
After some time, she pulled back, a more serious look in her eyes, "Just between the two of us, you can do better than Aaron. Stay out of trouble and keep practicing your magic!"
At that, Ariel pulled Raya into a final hug, kissing her on her forehead before turning away to join Death and Jade as they waited for the rest of us to join them.
The noirette was wearing an ocean blue kimono, snow white clouds decorating the pretty dress. Her long hair flowed down her back, tied into a side braid around her head to keep the hair out of her eyes. She was wearing her sandy brown sandals, her sheathed blade tied at her side with a navy black obi belt.
Death was wearing a smoky black cape, a golden king cobra etched onto the back, no shirt beneath the cloak. He was wearing desert camo combat shorts and a pair of stone brown heavy duty boots. Across his back, his scythe was being held by an ash black shoulder band, the blade glinting under the rising sun.
The young brown blonde walked with us as we made our way to the other side of the mountain's summit. She was quiet for most of the walk and I could tell she didn't want to part ways with her new friends just yet.
I stood at the cliff edge, looking down below. Beneath the summit, there was a fairly steep sandy slope. This side of the mountain was much easier to navigate as the side we had climbed up was nearly a sheer vertical wall.
As I looked down the sandy slope, I could feel the hot air brushing against my face. I decided to unbutton the loose, long sleeve, royal purple shirt I was wearing, shoving my hands into my midnight black combat shorts. I looked down to my feet, feeling that the ice black sandals I was wearing were appropriate for the desert ahead.
I looked further ahead, seeing an incredibly wide flowing river. While the skies weren't exactly clear, the few clouds floated at their usual height. I couldn't quite see beyond the Great River but I knew that only a vast, empty desert awaited us at the foot of the mountain.
"Nature Seal: Mahogany Shield!"
A flash of bright floral green light caught my attention and as I turned around, Raya had made four sturdy wooden shields. They were all made with great quality, which would surprise anyone who knew that the young girl was still a rookie sorceress.
Ariel looked down the sandy slope beneath us, then back to the wooden shields, putting two and two together. She quickly thanked the young brown blonde, taking one of the makeshift sleds to the edge of the cliff.
Then before I knew it, she dove straight off the mountain summit, using the wooden shield as a sled as she surfed down the sandy slope.
"Oh fuck. I better made sure she doesn't do anything dumb."
