- Aaron ----
"Lightning of the Sky King!"
Crashing down from an open soul mirror, a brilliant blue firebolt jolted through the air. But before it made contact, a bright yellow flash of lightning was equal to Ariel's attack.
The rose blonde let out a deep breath, looking over to me as I was recovering from a tough blow from earlier. I was holding onto my side but I still felt strong enough to continue. I had to thank my Celestial body for this insane vitality but even then, we were up against a tough opponent.
"Aaron, there is no reason for us to fight." Chaac stepped forward, his lightning axe sparking a brilliant yellow. "You can save your friends if you turn back now."
There was a dry laugh from my side and as I looked over, Ariel was smiling through the rain, "You don't get it Chaac. This isn't just Aaron's fight."
The Storm Incarnate shook his head, lowering his gaze before looking back to us, "I couldn't bring Hurakan back. But I will make you realise that your efforts are futile."
Chaac's storm blue eyes sparked with intensity as he raised his left arm, keeping his axe by his side. As he balled up his fist, the clouds above darkened, swirling slowly overhead. With one swift motion, Storm Incarnate thrust his arm down, the grey clouds releasing a torrential downpour, flooding the ashen forest.
I knew we had to make a move before the battle slipped out of our grasp, knowing that Chaac wasn't even going all out yet. I looked over to Ariel who was already on the same wavelength as me, "We can't stay on the ground. This fight's gonna go his way if we don't do anything."
She nodded, closing her eyes for a brief moment. Half a second later, her eyes burst open, glowing a faint amber through the intense rainfall. Her body began to give off a mysterious aura, Incarante powers flowing through her veins.
Two huge, blinding white butterfly wings sprouted from the rose blonde's back as she took to the skies, ready to push forward.
"This is as far as you go Soul Sorceress." Chaac was quick to respond, leaping into the air as a sonic boom echoed through the forest. "Storm Seal: Black Lightning!"
Crashing down from the skies, a brilliant black bolt of lightning was locked onto Ariel's position. I gritted my teeth, knowing there was no time to evade meaning I had to intervene before it was too late.
"True Wind Seal: Eternal Northern Wind!"
Within the second, an ice cold gale wind swept through the forest, rising high into the air to counter the oncoming bolt of lightning. As the freezing air collided with the burning plasma, a thunderous roar boomed out high in the sky, disrupting the torrential rainfall for just a moment.
I felt Ariel's eyes on me from above, joining her in the sky with one motion of my right hand. But Chaac was even higher still, looking down to us from above.
The crackle of lightning in the distance cloaked the Storm Incarnate in a harsh light as he looked down to the two of us. I felt a drop of sweat down my cheek, knowing that this fight wasn't going to get easier.
"Aaron, I will not let you make the same mistake as Hurakan. I cared too much for him to see him walk down that path and I will not let you do the same."
A sense of unease filled the air. I thought over Chaac's words, contemplating why he was here. From what he was saying, it sounded like he was doing this for me but I couldn't let myself be swayed by his words.
