When we went downstairs for dinner with the Lovelace family, I was stunned to see, sitting at the table beside Aiden and Deirdre were their two sons Patrick and Uriel, Patrick's mate Lisa and her daughter Kia. There were four empty chairs for Dimitri, Todd, Everice and I. Presha was seated next to Kia looking as gloomy as ever with her black gown and ruby red jewelry.

"Good evening to you all, please have a seat," Aiden stood off his chair and motioned to the four remaining seats.
"Thank you Aiden," Dimitri said as he pulled out my chair for me to sit with Todd doing the same for Everice.

When we were comfortably seated, the omegas brought in the food and drinks and placed them elegantly on the table. The first dishes were entrees. Roasted shrimp cocktails with chilli sauce.
We waited until the Alpha family were served before we picked up our own forks. When I took a bite of my first shrimp I moaned softly at the taste, the assorted flavours exploding on my tongue.

"So Dimitri, Mother said you came to Golden Sun Pack on business with your mate," Uriel initiated the conversation with a smile.
"Yes, we came here on a mission of utmost importance. There are some thing we'll need to discuss before we dive into the purpose of our abrupt visit to Golden Sun," Dimitri replied.

"Abrupt? Please, the moment you called Father to inform him of your arrival we were expecting you. It's nice to see you back with us after so many years Dimitri," Patrick spoke up.
"Indeed, the table has never been the same without you," Lisa said winking at Dimitri. "Now that you're here, the circle is complete."

I coughed and took a sip of my water, making Dimitri glance at me. Realizing he hadn't introduced me he mouthed a quick 'sorry'.
"Who's the lovely lady beside you Dimitri?" Uriel asked curiously.
"This is Artemis, she's my mate," Dimitri said affectionately.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all, I've heard so much about you and your wonderful family from Dimitri and Everice," I said politely.

Uriel and Patrick smiled and cordially greeted me but Lisa only nodded her head. Not much different than Deidre's greeting when I first introduced myself. Determined to change her perception on me, I complimented her on her outfit, a beautiful moss green maxi dress with a low neckline and a beaded bodice.

Her curly auburn hair reached her shoulders and her eyes were a light hazel brown. I observed her mate Patrick and saw that he was but a younger version of his father with his same black hair and amber eyes. He was toned and fit with the features of fully blooded alpha.

His brother more resembled his mother with her dark blue eyes and honey blonde hair. He was toned like his brother and I wondered if it was mandatory for males in Golden Sun to workout regularly. Then again he did come from a very strong family with equally strong Alphas. Maybe it was genetical.

And lastly I checked out the youngest member of the Lovelace family, little Kia. Like Dimitri said, she held a striking resemblance to Isabelle with her hazel brown eyes and fair skin. Her hair was auburn like her mother and she had a dimple on the left corner of her mouth.

"Dimitri is actually Artemis's  second chance mate since she was rejected by Alpha Marcus of Shining Cosmos Pack,"

I was brought back to awareness when I heard Deirdre's voice, telling her family about Marcus rejecting me. Feeling the need to assure them that he was the cause behind the rejection and not me, I opened my mouth to say just that but refrained from doing so in front of the omegas who had just come back with the second course of the dinner: oxtail soup.

"So Luna Artemis, when and how did you meet Dimitri? Was it directly after your rejection or years later?" Lisa asked gazing at me through scrutinizing eyes.
